we stopped here on our way to indy, the signs can be seen all along the road on the way there and you can see the giant candel from rt 70 so we stopped. they have quite alot more to sell than candles. choc, wine, food, antiques, and it's just a fun place to visit
We went & got a groupon for $15 for $30 worth of product. I don't know that I would shop here without that because prices are a little high. They have a really nice local wine section(that you can use the groupon for too)! Bought some tarts also, prefer those over candles. There restrooms are very nice & clean & they have a cafe but I've never eaten there.
I was so excited to finally go to this store because I bought a Groupon and I had been wanting to go. I must have assumed there would be more candles there since it's name is "Warm Glow Candle", but it was more like the Home Store or a Garden Ridge. I guess I can chalk this up to a 'Been there done that' kind of deal.
Warm Glow Candle Outlet is much more than outlet. They have expanded so there is so much to see. There is more than just candles. Their candles have awesome scents. They also have some unique items for decorating and gifts. Make sure you have plenty of time to shop. They have a new cafe if you gift thirsty or need a snack. I love the cooking section. They even carry a nice selection of spices, sauces and mixes.
My sister had been driving past this store for years and watched it grow, but had never stopped. We finally stopped while on the Chocolate Trail in Richmond and got a free votive. This was my idea of retail hell as I don't care for just about anything they had to offer, but for the right customer, this place is wonderful. They had an amazing variety of scents in candles, potpourri, warmers, oils, etc. The country decor was abundant. There was even a body product area and food mix area. It was HUGE! The staff was not very friendly and even stand-offish at times, but based on the inventory, it gets a great rating.
Love to stop here, it smells so good! The store has expanded since we stopped here a few years ago, really nice. Such a selection of candles, decorating items, lotions, soaps as well as chocolates, jellies and other food items. Has a neatly decorated restroom which is very clean to boot! How can one go wrong with all those choices? Has a small cafe with a nice variety of items to choose from...a great place to visit.
Saw this on the highway and turned off. WOW! Neat place to stop and shop. Many, many candles and unique gift finds. Spend over an hour there and don't think I saw all the many hidden gems. Finally bought the biggest "scent of the month" candle for the dining room table. Definitely a spot next time through.
I was so excited about stopping here based on reviews and love of candles and scents only to be disappointed. The place is big, but the candle selection is average. There is an equal number of non-candle items such as rugs, soaps, shampoos, and gourmet foods. There is a small cafe which I did not sample. The biggest disappointment was the price of candles. Yes, the scent of the month is 25%, but I can get this deal everywhere and expected more. The bottom line is the store is a nice stop between Indiana and Ohio on Route 70, but nothing I would drive out of my way to visit in the future.
Even before you open the door the aroma of the merchandise wafts thru the air. When you walk in you realize it is more than candles but also soaps and lotions baked goods and the smell of coffee from a cafe. They also have interior and exterior decor stuffs. The only store of its kind you will realize after you visit. I go as often as possible. Two thumbs up from me.
We don't head east without stopping here!! They expanded the a store in the fall of 2013. It is huge! Every month they have a candle scent-of-the-month that is offered at 25% off. Make sure to check out their garden shop too. If you are a gardener, you'll bring home some unique items! And don't forget to eat there too! Love their coconut cream pie!
We were traveling from Ohio to Indianapolis and I have to admitted we were pulled into this place by the signs boasting the best restrooms around. We definitely needed a pit stop and we decided on this. It was much nicer than I expected and a great opportunity to get out and walk around and enjoy the shop. We didn't eat at the cafe, but the food options looked good. I thought the candy prices were a little high, but its a specialty shop. If you are sensitive to scents this is not the place for you. My 14 year old daughter ended up having to leave the store because she got a headache because the scents were so strong and just all mixed together. I personally would recommend a stop off here, even just for the photo op with the "huge" candle!
Have always driven by the giant candle on freeway to Indy. This trip on way out saw jumbo billboards for Awesome Restrooms, Expansive Gift Shop, etc and said "why not". Stopped on a Sunday about 30 minutes before closing (cafe closes at 5 on Sunday/shop at 7). It is a giant gift shop and was fun to look around. Candles were pretty but didn't notice much scent to them. We were there for the cafe and "awesome restrooms" so my review is on that. Our group went with several of the individual pizzas--- white pizza delicious. I had a BBQ taco which is a corncake stacked with BBQ, slaw, lettuce, cheese, sour cream. The sandwiches and salads looked good too. Granted we hadn't eaten since breakfast and were very hungry by then but honestly this was very good food that I would have made the trek to eat at in my home town if it was here. They said they make the pizza dough from scratch. You order at counter and they have tables set up there. Nothing fancy as far as that goes but the food was very good and I would take it over fast food on the road or Panera (which I do like) any day. Top it off they had yummy homemade desserts. The huge peach cobbler with ice cream was really, really good. Do yourself a favor if you are grabbing lunch on the road and stop by for a quick one. You'll be glad you did.
My sister and I stopped here as part of the Chocolate Trail and I'm glad we did. Besides the candles, they have a nice selection of candies, home goods, kids items and accessories. My sister and I bought matching fashion scarves, she got a nice pair of earrings, we both bought some candy and I bought 6 bags of scent chips for the warmers. If you buy 5 of any one kind of candle, you get a 6th free. So I spent $20 for 6 scents and another $20 on the other items. If you do the chocolate trail you get a free chocolate scented votive, the passport also has a good coupon for this place, but we forgot about it!! Won't do that again! I plan on returning to the area in the spring and shopping here again.
We stopped here on our way to Charleston, WV. It is located off the highway, very easy to find! The candle is huge and it is a great photo - op, my friend is 6'4" and looked short compared to the candle. Don't forget to stop in the shop. There were candles, in a variety of size and scents and cute little sign sayings, I wish I would have purchased some :(
My family stopped by here to use the restroom. It was more than I had expected! The whole place is very funky shaped. The candles themselves were very interesting, and there were many scents. The bathrooms were very nice, as the sign on the interstate said. I wish I had more time to look! It's a great stop for when you pass through.
