What a gem this little museum is! While staying with family, we had an afternoon outing to this museum. If your kids are like mine and enjoy museums, this place will not disappoint. There is a little bit of everything, from a planetarium to a Mars rover replica to a hands on fish exhibit. After our 2 hours there (including a presentation in the Planetarium), we still didn't get to see everything and the kiddies were begging to come back. What a lovely way to spend an afternoon!

My family and I have a membership for this museum and once you are a member the museum does not forget who you are! We get updates, special invitations to various events, and reminded of certain shows or guests that will be appearing each month. This gives us a chance to plan accordingly. They have a very friendly staff and helpful volunteers that make it all worth visiting! Membership is inexpensive and you can use the same pass with other museums in the Passport Program (they'll give you a list upon joining) throughout the U.S. The Schiele has something for everyone. If you like outdoor activities, you can always visit the farms and take a nice walk on the nature trail. You almost forget you are in a city as you're enjoying the scenery or walking around the archeological mounds. Don't forget to go to the planetarium! The last showing is usually 3:30 so you may want to get that in early, or visit it last, depending upon your taste. The shows change, as well. Hope you liked the review! Enjoy a day at the Schiele!

This is a fun and interesting museum to visit. There are a variety of exhibits and they are of a higher quality than some I've seen at other museums. The planetarium shows are also fun. A visit to this museum will not disappoint.
