Great looking campus and very nice to walk around. Stop at Caviar & Bananas for food, even a muffin, if you get a chance.
Was there during Spring break and it made walking through the campus very easy. Love the "vibe" of this campus. Beautiful buildings and grounds. Modern library, very welcoming.
Not on the list of many travelers, and that's a shame. One block of bustling King Street is the beautiful and historic campus of CofC, as it's called. Randolph Hall is the centerpiece, an historic columned building used in such movies as "The Patriot"; surrounding it are dozens of other historic buildings now used as campus offices and Greek housing. The Cistern, the area in front of Randolph Hall, is a beautiful place for photographs and ambience. Behind Randolph Hall is a gorgeous walkway dripping with Southern ambience. Worth the 1 block walk (west, on George Street, one block south of Calhoun.)
Very attractive historical bldgs. Convenient to the peninsula / historical areas. Students are very friendly.
The College of Charleston is a multi-campused university in and around Charleston, SC that has a lot of history and some very unusual archtecture. I nice place to visit for both the young and young-at-heart!
Enjoyed a self tour. Beautiful campus! Nice day in Charleston! We planned our whole day around this tour as central in Charleston!
Old candy colored houses, stately buildings and moss draped oaks make this college campus worthwhile visiting.
A city college with great professors and excellent majors. All positive when visiting campusBusiness school tops, school of the arts fantastic
I earned my M.Ed here back in the 1980s. I'd come here after a day of teaching to take classes.mmit was like walking into a different world with the beautiful campus nicely kept,up in a natural landscape with flowers blooming and vp birds singing. Excellent education provided. My son also graduated from here in the 1989s, and I'm so proud that my granddaughter is now enrolled at the CofC.
My daughter attends the Honors College here and has nothing but high praise although she does have "too much work". I think she does find time to enjoy the party life. Everything is within walking distance except the beaches but there is public transportation. It's also a wonderful place to visit!!!!!!
Quintessential southern college...monograms and vineyard vines abound! Traditional college atmosphere intertwined in Charleston downtown..
The beautiful City can be explored by taking the local tours and using the tour bus system. Fun and convenient for all ages.
My brother attends this beautiful historic school. The buildings are gorgeous, inside and out from what we saw. The outside grounds are huge and clean. A lot of the kids were annoying but friendly, the rest were shy and kept walking. There is a free art gallery inside of one of the buildings with student work, and it is absolutely gorgeous pieces. If someone is planning on going to this school, the dorms are decent sized but a lot of the bathrooms are shared. Also, there is always food available at the dinning hall during business hours.
Visited the Student Art Center. Open to the public and no charge. Wonderful displays of the student art works.
The campus buildings are beautiful and worth wandering around. Founded in 1770, there are many historic buildings. Everyone is very friendly and the "modern" world is both part of and around the campus. Cobblestone and spanish moss. What more is there to say?
