I fell IN LOVE with their dessert wine. I was immediately hooked. It's incredibly sweet. It's a shame that I have never actually really tasted sweet wines before on wine tasting tours. I would certainly recommend this place. It's a little vineyard ran in a house-like compound with a Bavarian/vintage look. That's possibly what drew me here besides the reviews. They also offered some snack size crackers to clean your pallets in between whilst tasting. It's $5 for tasting and there are a variety to of wines offered.
Enjoyed my visit to thus winery, I stood up in a wedding that was held here and it turned out beautifuly. Plus there prices for wine are affordable and taste fantastic. My favorite was lip service.
Sorry, we didn't enjoy our stop here. We felt very rushed, our pourer gave us one word answers to our questions, and we didn't find the wines with their tiny pours to have much dimension or character.
Love this place! The grounds are just beautiful and the wine is great! The have such a fun variety of wines. We always get the Lip Service and the Vanilla Port. There is something for everyone to drink and the tasting room is really pretty. It is always a must stop on our wine tour. It would be such a beautiful place for a wedding or party. You will be happy you stopped! Make sure to get a punch card, buy 12 get 1 free!
Just went this past weekend, what lovely gardens and awesome wines. WE bought 3 bottles. Most of their bottles are pretty small but tasty and very sweet wines for the most part.
Maison de Padgett is a great place to visit while in WA Wine Country! We were here during the Red Wine & Chocolate Weekend. It was $3 for tasting, but you got to taste all 13 of their wines, instead of the usual 'choose 5' thing. And the names and labels of the wines are so fun!The "Unzipped" white pinot noir was interesting and we bought a bottle of that. The "Cash Cow" is a great value - $16.95 for a magnum. It makes a great table wine. We also loved the ports! Peach, Vanilla, and Coffee flavored. mmmmm I wish we could have bought all 3! but we decided on the "Pillow Talk" Vanilla. The grounds are beautiful and looks like they'd be a great place to hold a small event. We hope to be back again in the future!
And they are family owned and have beautiful grounds. We like their sweeter wines, especially the Gewurztraminer and the Ice wine.
Lovely grounds and colorful labels but pricey with "Tiny Pours" the wine was so/so and staff was not very pleasant.
We've been wine tasting Washington for 8 years and this along with Horizons edge are the best in state.
