First of all, this park requires either a WA State Discover Pass or a day pass for $10 cash. There are a few short hiking trails which are great for kids or dogs. The beach area is great if you want to find sand dollars. We've also seen a lot of little crabs, a few jellyfish, and other animals. A lot of the beach area is rocky, but there is enough sand in areas if you want to build a sand castle. The views are pretty. There are bathrooms and picnic tables on the property. There are 2 parking lots; one upper and one lower. The lower lot is usually full on weekends.
We went here when I was younger and a couple of times when I was older before the earthquake that ruined the beach. Went back to day for a visit it was nice. But we forgot there are two parking lot one with a steep hill hike and another that is very close to the beach. So park in the second buttt bring cash because parking is 10 dollars! Or a pass for the state park pass. Good picking stops at the top parking lot and lots of cool wild life and shellls and sand dollars. All and not a bad park just it does get very cold when the sun goes down because it is very close to the woods. Plus parts of the beach are closed off because it is private beach own property. But all in all a good park rebuild after a natural disaster.
