Golf at it's finest. Pristine, pure golf and one of the finest courses anywhere. Great clubhouse with plenty of golf accessories. Excellent restaurant with good selections, friendly staff. Speith played here. Beautiful forest background and plenty of ponds. You will love #17, and #18, they saved the best for last.

This is a great layout and a well maintained course. You will be rewarded for quality shots and appropriately punished for bad ones. The greens rolled smooth and were very quick. The scenery is nice throughout though not breathtaking. Overall, if you're in the Seattle area this is one of your best options, especially considering the value.

I am a golf course supplier and visit hundreds of courses all over the West every year. Gold Mountain Olympic Course is among the best I have seen anywhere. It is nationally acclaimed, so that is no secret. The Cascade Course is also excellent with many changes in elevation. The Fairways are wide enough to provide average golfers a chance to keep it out of the rough and hazzards. Excellent value for golf in the Northwest and worth a trip to Bremerton for visitors to Seattle and other areas.

This is an excellent winter golf course--wide fairways and a nice clean place to play. The restaurant is good and the new clubhouse and pro shop. Great enlarged course.

Coming from a fairly flat city (Toronto), playing in the mountain backdrop was incredible. At $85 for two rounds and cart, it was incredible value as well. A fun tree lined course that won't severely punish your misses.

The Oympic course is definitely the better course (compared to The Cascade) in terms of course maintenance and scenery. It certainly helped that one can drive the cart onto fairways although it would have been nicer if they used electric carts instead of the current petroleum powered (the engine had an auto-start & stop function though).Mountain scenery was magnificent and we even saw some deer during our rounds. The greens were in top condition.Staff at Gold Mountain provide great service and the food was very good (try the steamed clams and the Cod sandwich) and good value for money. If you are keen on playing 36 holes on the same day, they offer an excellent $85 all-inclusiveackagemfor 36 holes and buggy. If you are visiting from Seattle, take the Seattle-Bremerton ferry which is a much more relaxing way to travel there. It took me about 1 hour and 15 minutes to drive from Seattle to Gold Mountain and the total travel time for the return journey via ferry was about 1 hour 40 hours and you will need to time the journey with the ferry schedule.

Well-designed risk and reward course. Always well-maintained, always a challenge, and the scenery is superb. The staff at Gold Mountain is great and the food is much better with Columbiat Hospitality in charge. A must-see if you are a golfer!

This was my first time playing at Gold Mountain, and I quickly understood the reason for so many rave reviews! Aside from having a jalopy of a golf cart ("Brakes? We don't need no stinking Brakes!"), this was parkland golf at its finest. Every hole is a gem, designed with risk-reward factors that'll challenge golfers of all skill levels. The course was impeccably maintained and groomed. Even though I blew up half the front nine, and a couple holes on the back, I still had one of the most memorable rounds ever in terms of pure golfing enjoyment.Pace of play was a bit slow;took my foursome five hours and change to complete 18, and we didn't dally one bit. On the other hand, the weather was perfect, the beverage cart came around at frequent intervals, and my playing partners were first-class gentlemen. The staff at Gold Mountain are likewise top-notch. Not a grump or primadonna in the bunch! While comparing Gold Mountain-Olympic to Chambers Bay is definitely "Apples to Oranges" in terms of the golfing experience, the price breaks available at Gold Mountain are truly great deals. (GolfNow.com offers amazing "Hot Deals" for the two courses at Gold Mountain which are beyond awesome!)

We played The Home Course and Chambers Bay and this place was by far the best. I would play this over CB any day of the week even without being so much less expensive. The course is long enough for anyone and can be real tough from the back tees but any hacker could enjoy it from the forward tees. We loved the layout and challenges. So many great golf holes with the snow covered mountains in the background. I am going up again in 2 weeks for AAU hoops tourney and will be playing this again for sure!!

This is one of my favorite courses. It is very reasonable in price for what you get. This is not a super hard course, which suits me, a mid handicapper. I like that it is not lined by homes. It is more like an out and back course, rather than back and forth. Fairways are well maintained and rough is not too deep. Greens are reasonable, not super fast. The setting is park like with some elevation changes. We usually play midweek in the mornings, and the pace of play is good. The only warning if you walk, is that there is a fairly steep long uphill to the proshop after the 18th hole. It's a really enjoyable course to play.

Drove down from Vancouver to play this course and Chambers Bay. Chambers was great, but this course was the highlight of the two. Cost 1/3 the price (60 compared to 175). Challenging but fair with a lot of very scenic holes, partly due to the many elevation changes and the forest setting. We played the Olympic course, which is supposed to be the more challenging of the two, but the other course looked similar. They had a play-all-day rate of $65 that we'll probably go for next time.

This course never disappoints. It's a Beremerton, WA muni course, and is exceptionally well run. The course layout is awesome: beautiful, well designed, challenging and fair. We are country club members, and decided to play Gold Mt. after a 5+ year absence. The course has only gotten better with age. We expected a five-hour round, and were pleasantly surprised to find a four + hour pace. The course is very well maintained. Greens were smooth...not lightning fast, but not bad. The fairways were in great shape as well. We took a cart, and I was happy that we did. As a "walker," I remembered that this course was a challenging walk....do-able, but you are pretty tired by the end of the round.Exceptional value, beautiful course, a lot of fun. Definitely worth the trip!If you are coming from Seattle, take the Bremerton ferry and you are practically there! Makes it a fun day trip.HAVE FUN!

Gold Mountain is a fantastic golfing venue by any standard. This is a municipal golf complex with the original Cascade course for high handicappers and the new Olympic course for tournament play and a greater degree of challenge for all abilities. If you don't know about this course, PGA tour pro Anthony Kim lost the US Amateur Public Links Championship here in a playoff in his last season as an amateur. The course hosted the US Junior Amateur in 2011, another testimonial to the caliber of the facility. Both courses are characterized by 18 holes of distinctive variety, but it's much easier to get into trouble on the Olympic Course. It also calls more strongly for a cart rather than walking. The clubhouse is another attraction, added in 2001 to overlook the course built six years ealier. The restaurant has a large outdoor terrace to watch the action on several holes and there is a separate terrace overlooking the finishing hole off the banquet pavilion. Finally, the quality of golf at the Olympic Course is on par with any tournament venue in the region, but the prices are a fraction of the competition. It's worth the trip if you are anywhere around the Puget Sound.

Fantastic pulic course to play golf. I've golfed all over this country as I am a pilot that travels with my golf clubs. I would rate this in my top ten of best publice course I've played. Very well kept course and reasonably priced. Tall pines and beautiful views of the surounding area. i would suggest walking it to take in the beauty but only if your in reasonable shape as the back nine gets a little hilly.
