We played for the first time on a sunny winter day and were pleasantly surprised. The course was in great condition, especially the greens. The course is challenging with a lot of holes where a precise drive is critical to success but it is not overly difficult if you play it safe and could be enjoyed by players of all ages. Not a lot of big driving holes for the longer hitters but a lot of fairway wood tee shots that need accurate placement to set up the hole. The greens were in great shape and very receptive to accurate approaches. They had some guile to them which rewarded good reads but punished laziness. We will be back!
We are members here - love it. Part of Semiahmoo Golf and country club but open to the public. Beautiful course - a walk in nature. You have to play good golf, tricky course. Women should take a 7 wood to get over all the water. Love it here.
I liked the course very much. It was empty the day we played there. The clubhouse is very cool. The fairways were lush and the greens were smooth.
Course was in very good shape, very challenging and the greens were easier to read than the Semiahmoo course. Staff was friendly and we did a stay and play package with Semiahmoo Resort.
OK, Semiahmoo has the BIG name and reputation, but if you miss Loomis Trail, you made a mistake. Beautiful course that is well run and maintained.
This is a fantastic course, a hidden gem in the Pacific Northwest. The staff is very helpful and the pro, Chris, really knows his stuff. Currently they are taking advantage of the slower golf time to make some improvements to the drainage but it has little to no impact to your play. This course has water in play on almost every hole, and is challenging if you don't pay attention. It is well worth the trip to play on one of the best courses in Washington state.
For the serious avid golfer looking for a beautiful fair but still tough test. Superb condition. 100% walkable; pull & riding carts available for rent. Great variety in holes & architect has some "little surprises" awaiting the golfer who hasn't seen the track before. Hosted 2009 NCAAs - & deservedly so. Beautiful private club facility that allows public access on alternate days. VERY friendly staff from grounds crew to cart barn to clubhouse.
Like the views, peacefulness, and friendly staff. Close to I-5 and the Birch Bay area and Semiahmoo area. Semiahmoo opens again August 15th!
