My daughter had been in this darling wine tasting bar last year and said she wanted to go back not only because the wines are great but because Sharon is just so much fun! She was extremely knowledgeable about the wines, the composition, and also what foods would be paired with them. We bought two wines, the Amelia Wynn white and also an Amelia Wynn rose. On the back of the bottle, their philosophy is "dedicated to creating handcrafted small lot wines that showcase the typicity of grape varietal, have complexity, and importantly can pair well with food". We also bought two of their wine glasses to remember the fun time we had. Go and enjoy!
We strolled into this cozy establishment on our birthday and decided to do a wine tasting. Sharon the owner greeted us kindly and had the wine flowing right away. She was fun to chat with, very knowledgeable and just fun to be around. The place itself is very warm and inviting. The decor - large wine barrels by the bar gave it a great vibe. Might as well have been in Napa - it just felt right. Can't wait to come back on our next trip to Seattle!!
These guys are fantastic. They put so much pride and joy into what they do. So knowledgeable and friendly I was very impressed. I am not much of a wine drinker, but my girlfriend enjoys it and these guys made this experience very exciting for me. I cannot say enough about the great service and the work these people put in!
Stopped for some wine tasting and stayed for a couple of hours. Had a very enjoyable time here, even despite the heat. I arrived by myself while my husband was having some local beers down the street, the two ladies serving for the day, who I believe was the owner and her daughter, were very welcoming. There had been a party of about 6 people leaving and purchasing many wines so that transaction by it'self was entertaining. I did one of their tasting flights and enjoyed every wine, obliviously some more than others. Ordered a cheese and cracker with olives plate especially since they were serving "Cougar gold" cheese. Wanted to go back but our time was short. The ones that belonged to them were Fletcher Bay wines produced there on Bainbridge Island.
We found Island Vintners on the way back to the ferry. We went with the wine flights - 4 tastes of wine. They also have very nice cheese selections. Cool atmosphere and relaxing after shopping on Bainbridge Island. Great service too!
We walked off the ferry and found ourselves at a wine tasting at this tiny little place. Our group of 8 filled the store- and we enjoyed a nice time with our waiter and the vivacious woman who worked the bar! Warm and welcoming she could not have been any sweeter! The wine selections were interesting and tasty. Some were their very own wines! You can sit down at a table there, or at the little mini bar they have set up inside. There's a tiny porch out back if you have a smoker in your group. If you ask, will get a little something like crackers for you to nibble on while you're tasting. But if you are expecting the kind of wine tasting that's a little Fancy, this is much more chill. You won't be cleansing your palate between wine tastings.
We enjoyed our experience emensly at this little wine bar! The woman taking care of us behind the bar was extremely personable and pleasant and thoroughly loves wine which makes it more fun to drink. I am so thankful that they had little bites too because I love a good antipasti with my wine. My only recommendation was that they maybe pick some different kind of salami. The kinds they offered were a bit dry for me, kind of like salami jerky, but that didn't really bother me too much because I was too busy enjoying the yummy cheese and olives and nuts not to mention the delicious wines.
Called in here today and spent a very enjoyable hour or so trying out the wines and chatting to our hosts. Sharon, owner and great personality, entertained us whilst telling us about the wines she served. Great experience, good fun and excellent value. Oh and the wines were fantastic too!
