离城市很近,往南顺着高速开5-10分钟就到了海滩,基本算市民公园了,本地溜狗的和外地露营的在一起,远处是岩壁和雾森,沙滩很细也干净,没什么杂物
What a beautiful park this city has. It was very clean and well groomed. Beautiful place to come to and enjoy the beach and the surrounding areas. You weren't on top of the other guests there and could just do your own thing.
This park has a great playground for kids; lots and lots of things to climb on and slide down. Locals like me go there all the time in good weather. It has a community pool (indoor) there that is open to the public. Public library is also there and they have programs happening often. It has great picnic areas and nice beach on the bay. There are current plans for a dog park (may be done by the time you read this). There are great park benches and sidewalks to walk or skate on. Every July 4th there is a big party there with carnival rides, contests, booths, art, food, games, pony rides, etc. It's always clean; but the weather is what is not dependable as we do get rain at intervals, but we have "secret" sunny sunny days when everyone comes out even during the winter.
We have visited Crescent City several times, latest being a splendid summer day over Labor Day Weekend 2014. The park is very pretty and is good for walks, tidal pools, kids play areas, picnics, n and also has a disc golf course.
We've stopped at this park while visiting Jeremiah Smith State Park this trip but have also stopped many times in the last 30 years. It is the best place to bring your family and pets. Nice children's playground, nice picnic spots, lighthouse. Just the perfect spot by a lagoon.
Excellent and very accessible tidepools. For the best experience, go at low tide. You can check the tide chart here to find out when that will be on the day or your visit: http://tides.mobilegeographics.com/locations/1419.html
This is a gated area designed for kids to have fun. Thanks to Crescent City's attention to detail and especially dozens of volunteers from the local LDS Church who conduct deep maintenance periodically, this place is a "must visit" for people who are traveling and need to give their children some wholesome exercise.
The park is so close to the beach, just a short stroll away. Take in the ocean view as your children play their hearts out. Besides a few bums hanging out on the beach (which they were very polite and nice) it is a perfect spot to hang out and enjoy each others company.
The city has done a good job to provide locals and visitors with an attractive and accessible public Oceanside area for walking , jogging, cycling ( which I did) .
Great for kids and adults. It has picnic tables and nice playground,Easy to get to. Beachfront for great walks and shell hunting.
This was a terrific place to watch Pelicans dive-bomb for food. It was a lot of fun, just to kick back, and watch a "Discover Channel Moment" happen in front of us :)
This is always a great place for families to relax. The wooden playground area is especially nice for kids to unwind after a long road trip. Lots of green grass and space to run. But, as others have noted, beware the seagull poop.If you venture to the western part of the park there is a sea-animal rehab center/gift shop. It was closed when we were there, but we could see a pair of small sea lions in the outdoor pens. I'm not sure if you can go in that area when the place is open, or if they have some animals inside. Check for hours. Also on the west end is a beach access where one can find shells and stretch their toes in the sand. We even found a starfish on the beach. There are also some fire-pits if one is so inclined, though it seems like the local teens have a monopoly on those.Unless we missed it, it seems like the big hollowed-out redwood log was gone. Not sure when it disappeared, but it was always a neat photo op.
Had a lot of fun listening to the bands, drinking beer, and eating funnel cakes and bratwurst during their 4th of July celebration in Crescent City
the place is so calm and serene that you suddenly felt so guilty you left your friends in the busy city, instead of inviting them to join you in Crescent CIty. the laughing kids at the woodpark, the croaking ravens and pooping seaguls added charm to this tiny city. simpy lay down on the grass under the huge redwood and let the sea breeze kiss your face is amazing!
We stopped here to have our desert from lunch at a picnic table. There was plenty of parking places to pick from and easy access to the beach.
