adorable alpacas

We had no idea that alpacas were so very cute. We saw the two different types of animals held on this ranch and learned the mating habits and how the young are reared. Mostly, of course, we learned about the softness of the fur and at the gift shop we were able to purchase some gifts. The whole trip was a lot of fun, and we feel that we learned a lot.

I drive by this place every day. I visited it once and I agree with the previous post. They are so cute. I love, love, love the yard they sell. The gift shop is very cute.

Owner Sandy gave our group of about 12 a casual tour of the alpacas, the boarding facilities and gift shop. She explained how she and husband Don got started in the alpaca business. She encouraged us to walk in amongst the animals and pet them. She let us mingle and take photos before inviting us into her lovely little gift shop. It looks like they constructed a small garden shed and fashioned it into a showcase for a wide variety of beautiful alpaca products.
