We stopped here to walk around and spend some time with family. Admission was $5 pp. there were 8 of us so se thought that It probable wasn't worth it. They ended up giving us a discount. We paid $20 to get in and walked around. We petted the animals and walked around. There really isn't much to see or do. There were a lot of little shops but I'm not really into the whole country stuff. We bought the mini doughnuts and those were good. Other than that it was ok.

I am a great believer in shopping locally. The Village offers a wide variety of treasures that are typical of Oak Glen with a variety of apple-themed items including ornaments to decorate a tree. I have found that visiting on a week day is best with few people and time to enjoy without feeling rushed.

You might want to eat somewhere else for lunch, but the quaint shops and orchards have a lot to offer. My friend and I bought apples from a little stand just outside Laws, and the seller let us try many slices before we made our choice. They were expensive, though. The gift shops had some nice items and deals, while Apple Annie's bakery had some goodies to sell, especially the moist and yummy pumpkin bread. We also bought some dip, apple butter, and honey at the candy shop, which also has a bit of cheese and meat along with big pickles and, of course, candy and ice cream and caramel apples. Mom's orchard was also a good stop, yielding fudge and other good treats. We also fed a deer, enjoyed the mountain scenery and air, and got some fabulous glazed almonds at yet another outdoor stand. Take the kids and go.

Lots of shopping at The Village at Oak Glen. Weekends can get very clouded and parking can be a little tough to find. Just a short distance down the road is the best apple cider in town.

We drove up to see Oak Glen, being apple season we were told it was a fun place to go. We loved the drive up and seeing the sights along the way.The first location was a bit of a disappointment, although I would have liked to see the Pirate show, but we couldn't keep busy for and hour and a half to wait. We enjoyed the much larger Village with the petting zoo, and many stores. A great place for young families, many shops and beautiful Apple Pie!

This is the main shopping area in Oak Glen. Geared toward visitors, it has several quaint shops, a sit-down restaurant, and a petting zoo. Great area for getting souvenirs, or hand-made products for the home.

This is a part of the country many people do not know. Animals you can feed, enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. ( 'fragrances' too ). This is not Disneyland, it is the country. I think people will enjoy the 'back to nature' feel of Oak Glen, CA. People have been coming here for over 40 years and it hasn't changed much at all. Parking can be a 'challenge' but whats the 'hurry'! I love Oak Glen, CA and it's not because I am from the area. It is because I love the country. The Village has homemade Fudge, Animals to feed and pet, Leatherworks, Apple Pies and Ice cream at Laws Coffee Shop ( my favorite over any other ). With new 'management' it is pretty clear the menu will be freshened up also, some old items and new items. So much to see in Oak Glen, you need 2 days. ( then you will want to stay the night at Serendipity B&B ). I love this low elevation 4800, and clean air. - closer than Big Bear, CA to Los Angeles or Orange County.

We visited over the Memorial Day Weekend. We spent $5 per person to get into the Oak Tree Village & Animal Park, which includes the zoo and a petting zoo. It was okay. If your kids are bigger and like feeding the animals and won't be afraid, it might be worth it. But the petting area was pretty smelly and dirty. I'm more used to place where a keeper is always on hand to give us extra information and encourage the kids. In addition, it would have been nicer if a keep was ready to cover up any urine and/or take away any animal poop. The animals can also be a little more aggressive than other petting zoos because they expect some food. If you have bigger kids, it might be worth it to pay the $5. Otherwise, I'd just stick to the village itself. There are a lot of fun shops and even two giant bounce houses ($5 for unlimited use). One of the stores has samples of apple butter and apple jam, which I highly recommend. They have physical bathrooms, which need a makeover, but are better than port-a-potties. Our relatives who took us there said it's more fun in the fall during apple season or in the winter, when there could be snow. The trip was good enough that we'll be back to try again, and maybe write an updated review!

I just want to say that Oak Glen is very quaint, Sweet, adorable. In the mountains and the air is so fresh and sweet. But my review is on a little restaurant there. it is called Apple Annie's restaurant and bakery. It has such a homey friendly atmosphere and the food is so delicious. I love the fish and fries. The fries are dipped in a batter and seasoned to perfection. The fish is whole pieces and very large, but what is so cool is that if you don't get full ( and most everyone does because of portion size) seconds are on them. They have old fashioned soda and the waitresses are very very caring. I try to go there at least 3 or 4 times a year and take family and friends. The bakery makes a five pound, yes I said five pound apple pie. it is flaky crusted and apples seasoned to perfection.YUM.Also they have an animal park and a petting zoo. Old fashioned shops. gorgeous clothes and leather goods. It is a joy just to be there and take in the scenery. This is Southern California's largest apple growing region. Come and enjoy.

We enjoyed the restaurants, bakery and gift shops. Bought a number of things which adds to the memory of the trip.

I like apples and some of the best come from this area. Yesterday my wife and I drove out to Oak Glen Village and purchased $30 worth. When we arrived home we washed some off and sat back to savor the taste. They were mush. If you told me we were eating windfalls that had been sitting on the ground for a week I could not give you an argument. I just hope that I can turn the lot into passable apple sauce. I have gotten first rate apples fm. the village in the past and intend to try again in the future but I would suggest that, to avoid my situation, potential buyers walk away from any Oak Glenn seller who won't let you try one before you pass over your cash.

The Village is a string of country-like tourist shops. Fun for a while, but stuff that you can get anywhere. Apple Annies is good for a slice of pie. They have a small zoo which was closed for some reason they day that we were there. Bathroom facilities are limited to smelly portables.
