tessa marie wines

We visited this little wine tasting shop while in Los Olivos. We were staying at the Fess Parker Inn, so there was no charge for the tasting. However, we had joined the wine club at Epiphany, and they told us that it would be valid at the Fess Parker Winery as well as Tessa Marie's. We purchased two cases at Fess' and a case at Epiphany. The person at the counter was very nice, but told us that we would have to join Tessa's club separately if we wanted to get club pricing. Tessa is Fess Parker's grand-daughter, and they all seem to cross promote. We definitely would have purchased more than the three bottles we left with, but felt the wine club issue was petty. They lost a bigger sale, if they were just trying to sell us on their club. If they don't honor each other's club, that is fine also, just let the Epiphany people know so they don't promote their club as such.

Visited here with my husband in August 2010. Female owned winery making Italian style wines. The wine was good, we took home a bottle of the Sangiovese. The woman working here was great. Good conversationalist and helped us figure out where else in town we should taste based on what kind of wine we liked. I would recommend this place.

A friend had recommended the Vermentino wine here, so I had to try it. It is excellent. As are the reds, very nice blends. They make only 1000 cases a year, so they are not available in too many places. The winemaker is a young lady who clearly has a bright future ahead of her. Visit this wine tasting room when in or around Solvang. I liked it so much I joined the wine club.
