By all means, visit the Shops at Dos Lagos when in the Corona area. There are beautiful ponds, a nice walking trail. You can get some good exercise while enjoying the beauty of this place. And, of course, Dos Lagos provides some of the best shopping around. All upscale stores, but with some great values. A must see in Corona.
You have a large variety of shops and restaurants. The area seems very nice and at night they light up the walk ways over the water and it is very pretty. They seem to have a plenty of parking. The side walks in front of the stores are wide.
It was a very pleasant experience walking around Dos Lagos. Very nice walk on a beautiful day in the Inland Empire. Liked the shops there too.
My parents live in the hills near these shops so every time my wife and I visit, I like to take her here. And just a quick correction, Dos Lagos means "Two Lakes", not "The Lakes" (that would be Los Lagos) as another contributor mentioned. It has the same name as the golf course just up the road because of the two lakes there. When we go, we usually go in the evening to stroll through the bridge. It is very beautiful watching the sun set as you walk through here. There are many good restaurants, unique shops, and a few larger name shops. We usually have a meal after our walk at either the Citrus City Grille or Taps Fish House and Brewery. I highly recommend both. The shopping is also pleasant during the day. Here is a directory:http://www.shopdoslagos.com/directory (I have seen a couple shops come and go)The movie theater is not that great, I would drive up the road to the Edwards in the Crossings Shopping Center (I would also recommend this shopping center, as it has more of the bigger name stores).Overall, it is one of my favorite activities in Corona. You can spend the entire day here by yourself, couples, or with the entire family.
Its worth the extra miles to travel to the innovative and entertaining Dos Lagos Shops. At bit hard to find, the facility is located off Temescal Canyon Rd, south of Cajalco Rd, which exits off Interstate 15 in extreme south Corona. Parking is convenient to exclusive shops, gourmet restaurants and a world-class cinema complex that also carries indie films or foreign cinema, rarely seen in the Inland Counties movie wasteland of same-old, same old. Be sure to allow for plenty of time to check out the unusual and one-of-a-kind clothing and home goods shops among the dining opportunities and the attractive lake and footbridges setting. Bottom line: To me this is the only retail center in Riverside County that is also an entertainment venue in itself. Plan for shopping, dining and a quality movie all in one place.
Dos Lagos means "The Lakes" in Spanish. There are two small man made lakes here. One is on a slightly higher elevation than the other, so there is a very short "waterfall" between the two. The most interesting feature to me was the pedestrian bridge. It's wide and inviting with gentle curves and a wooden bamboo sort of "superstructure" over the top. It's hard to describe so check out the pictures! At the far end is a large grassy area that has been planted with native trees and a few lemon trees. (Corona was once the world's second largest producer of lemons.) There are benches to sit and enjoy the lakes. Some folks were feeding the ducks and seagulls. Picnicking is allowed, and it's a nice place to let children run and play. There is also a 15 stadium movie theater as well as the shops. There are not too many shops - as I understand it a number of them have closed. I did not see any of the big 'anchor' stores such as Macy's or Sears. Some small businesses have moved in that are non-retail.There are a half dozen or more restaurants. We were there at mid day on Sunday and all the parking lots of the restaurants were full! The bridge and grassy lakefront areas made a nice place for a stroll on a warm February afternoon. I'd like to return to see the bridge lit up at night as it must be spectacular.
