cabela's

I was in town to go steelhead fishing and needed a few things. I always look for cabelas if available where I am. They always have a great selection and fair pricing. I also like he quality of their products. You need to go there if you have never been.

I was very disappointed with my shopping experience here. This store has a lot of stuff, but when you really start looking the don't have the things that are relevant to our area, ie. rocker anchors or anchor nests, and fishing gear that we use around here. I went over to the binocular counter and looked at the Leupold bx 3 10 x 50, I told the guy I would take a pair,even though he did not tell me a thing about them. He looked all around and couldn't find the 2 pair that his inventory said he had. He did not go any further than his section to find them, and just said sorry sir, no mention of checking with another store or on line just "sorry sir". Then I went to the ammo area, no 300 Weatherby Mag in any form. I then laid down the $300 worth of merch I was carrying and left. Picked up ammo at Sportsmans Warehouse (which they had a nice selection of). Looked at the binoculars and decided on another pair of binoculars that the salesman told me about and recommended. It is a fun place to walk around and see all the animals and look at all the stuff, but it is not a place to go to shop. It's a little like going to Disney Land, the prices are high and a lot of it is not relevant to our area, and then they are all out of the Mickey Mouse ears to boot.
