We visited In 2011. It was our first time zip lining. It offered tree top zipping from platform to platform and some bridges along the course. The experience was pleasant for our first experience. It was fun. Used traditional hand braking. Offered an exciting off road ride to and from the course. The final zip was long and fast. Pleasant overall, but since then, we've visited another in Rockbridge. Better scenery. Better guides. Better experience with natrual terrain. More beautiful. Had fun surprises along the way. Even provided refreshments and treats.
Thank goodness it was closed everytime we tried to go there. Rumors in town are that they are bankrupt. View from the gate is poorly run, poorly kept, scarey. Don't waste your money. We ended up in Rockbridge and had a great experience.
I paid for 2 reservations and drove 3 hours for the experience. When I got there they were CLOSED. They didn't call or email me!!!! I'm still trying to get someone to contact me but no one answers the phone or my emails. I DO NOT recommend this place and will tell everyone how frustrating this experience was!
I paid for reservations and when I got there they were closed. They didnt call or email me. Im still trying to get someone to contact me back but no one answers the phone or emails. I do not recommend this place.
This is the first time we went zip lining. Aaron, our guide, was great with our entire family. We always felt safe as Aaron made safety first the priority. Our 10 year old daughter had soooo much fun and so did we. We did the canopy tour. I would consider this activity a value at $52 for and 1 1/2 of fun. They aren't the most organized, so just relax, don't be in a hurry, and enjoy yourself. It's quite beautiful to fly through the tree tops at the peak of the Autumn season.
So I bought a certificate off of LivingSocial to go to this place. The certificate included Ziplining, Disc Golf, and a 5x7 photo. So ziplining there was fun. It's a nice intermediate course. Hey parents, they even have a course for families only. So there were 15 ziplines and only like 10 obstacles. It took you through the trees and used the land for it's course. I loved the one zipline where you can race someone. Of course I raced my boyfriend and won. Our guide was hilarious. I forget his name, but every time we were on an obstacle, he would try to scare us my jumping on it. He also was throwing out jokes and just getting everyone to have a great time and laugh. After Ziplinigng, we moved onto Disc Golf. Um, after 2 holes of it, my boyfriend and I were done. It was hard, especially for us since we don't play frisbee. The course for it was weird and challenging too. But we gave it a try...and it just wasn't for us. So we ended our day there with them giving us a picture of us ziplinging. Very cute by the way.
My husband and I went for our anniversary trip this past weekend. The fall weather was perfect and our guide, Megan, was great. I was not able to finish the course because I didn't realize how scary it would be for me, someone who has an irrational fear of heights, but the time I was actually flying through the air was amazing.. but the fact that I was so high up did not bode well for me. My husband finished the course but I had to come back half way through. The atmosphere was great and so were the people! I recommend it to everyone who isn't such a chicken like me!
Great anniversary gift! My boyfriend and I went on the night flight zip line tour and it was our first time zip linning and we had a blast.
Our guide Clint was very patient and helpful. My husband and I are both in our 70's and felt very safe with his help. We were a little hesitent to try it but were sure glad we did. It was a great fun experience.
Our guide, Brendan did a great job at calming my fear of heights and first time zip lining. The canopy tour was a great time. This company is very concerned about safety and that made me more comfortable. The course was a lot of fun. There were three obstacles that were not that difficult. They were actually a lot of fun. There is a harder course with more obstacles for those more adventurous. It was a great time.
We have two kids, ages 9 and 6 who wanted to try zip-lining. This was the perfect place for the kids first time. We all did the family zip course, and added the water zip. We all had a blast, the guide was great, and the kids wanted to do it again!
My family of 5 did the Family Zip. It was great for my 6 year old but was more of an obstacle course. They convinced us to tack on the waterfront zip for another $8 a person and it was a long zip line over a small marshy pond (hardly waterfront) and if you ask me it should've been included in the price because it was the only real zip line on the course! On the upside the guides were very friendly and we did have fun as a family so I guess it was just ok!
The zip course for kids was excellent. The guides were very patient, helpful and put the kids at ease. There was a wide age range in our group (5 to 10) and the guides handled it so well -- each child had a great time! The level of difficulty worked well for our group and challenged the kids without scaring them. The kids also did the zip line over the water which they all enjoyed. Some of the kids did not want to go alone and the guides were more than happy to go with them. Our group also did the scavenger hunt, where they kids were able to use a compass and go thru several check in points. Overall highly recommended.
Great fun all day for a family! The zip course is awesome and they show you how to do everything. They let you take your time and we had the best time! The haunted trail is the greatest. They have so many other things to do as well. We plan to return soon. This is well worth a Saturday visit but call ahead, they do take reservations.
I am active duty military and went here while home on leave and i had a blast. Customer service was great. My friends loved it, it is a must see attraction. Other Ziplines may baby sit you, for claim of safety but no one cares more about your own safety than you. I felt safer knowing I had tied in. its intense enough for adrenaline junkies and easy enough that my grandma completed the course as well and loved it. They have a lot to offer like ogo and paintball and more. I could spend my summer there and never get tired of it.
