We did not think the campus was beautiful nor the town of Oxford. The town is dumpy, old and very small. A few nice blocks of small restaurants, fast food but that's it. The campus is very homogeneous. If you like three story red brick buildings you'll love it. Sorry just wasn't for us. We were so built up by everyone's reviews that we were just really disappointed. I still believe that it is a very good school.

This out of the way college town is worth a side trip if going to Cincinnati as it has marvelous architecture on campus as well as a cute and bustling small town of Oxford. It has some good dining but nothing for the gourmand. Hotel rooms are scarce on busy weekends, and you may be forced to book a hotel 30-40 minutes away. Off season & slow weekends you may be able to book on campus housing. The new student union is very impressive, and there are historical buildings on campus.

After seeing the campus, you fall in love with it. Three of my four children attended Miami University and the fourth one almost did. It is known for its red brick buildings, beautiful trees, and quaint college town. Robert Frost once said Miami University is the "prettiest campus around", and in 200 years, there has not been another that comes close.

Having graduated from Miami, I am partial to this campus. As a family, we love to go here and just walk around the campus in the summer. There is a special tree map trail to hike. We attend musical and dramatic performances there. Just a beautiful campus with a small town feel.

Must have been an off time for students since saw hardly any students and it was a beautiful, sunny day in the low 50's. First time here and was highly impressed with the beautiful campus bldgs. and private homes. If we had visited here 6 years ago, we might have had our daughter considered this univ. as a college option.

Of course, this campus is one of the prettiest in the USA, but there is more. For instance, visit some of the natural areas east of campus. There is a vast network of trails for you to enjoy. Also, consider a visit to the small, but interesting art museum on campus.

My husband and I are alumni of Miami, so we may be biased, but you will not find a prettier college campus anywhere. So many trees, so much open green space, beautiful buildings, and a wonderful quaint uptown area. It's probably most gorgeous in the fall, although when it snows, it's impossible to forget :)

Stop and take a tour or just walk this gorgeous campus...the grounds staff are out of this world and their hard work has paid off!

I'm a bit biased as I've worked at Miami for well over 25 years....that being said. It's a very, very good university and if you looked up what a college campus is supposed to look like, it'd look like Miami. In the past few years, there has been a large amount of construction, which has brought some new dorms on-line, but at the cost of some university green space.I'm a Miami grad, my wife works here, and my son's a Miami alum also, so, as I said, a bit biased.

The campus is bigger than I thought. It is flat, mostly - probably will be good for biking. There weren't many students around - it was a cold Sat morning, but the sun was shining and the campus was beautiful. Great walkways and many trees - I loved it.

The university campus was really nice and quaint. It's best in autumn time because all the leaves on the ground and it's not too cold to walk around.

The campus is amazing. A seemless transition exists between new and old leaving a quaint feeling of a place you want to stop and stay a while.

Millett HallWe attended an event (Aziz Ansari) at Millett Hall during Miami's family weekend. The show itself was entertaining and the venue was surprisingly better than I expected. The seats were reasonably comfortable and the sound was excellent for such a large stadium. I've been at theaters designed for this type of show with worse sound, so I was very pleased when we were able to see and hear the entire performance without straining in the least. Our entire family had a great time.Hall AuditoriumWe saw the men's glee club (my nephew is a member) perform here and the acoustics were fantastic. The seats are roomy and comfortable (could use a bit more padding, but it was not a huge problem) and the auditorium fits a large number of people. It's a great place to see this type of show.University BookstoreThere are two "fake" bookstores on High Street, but this is my review of the official bookstore. There's not much to it - only a question (ok, maybe a BIT more). Why, Miami University Bookstore, WHY would you be closed on the Sunday of family weekend? I understand that you are not normally open on Sundays, but come on! We tried to go and we witnessed at least three other families try to go in the ten minute span that we stood there shocked and disappointed. Your inventory looked so adorable through the glass that I surely would have spent more than I should have in your store. I swear it would have made up for having to pay staff to show up for work on a day that they've never had to before.Du Bois Bookstore - High StreetSuper cute inventory - I purchased a number drinking glasses and nothing else for some reason (shot glass, water glass/straw thingy you know what I mean, and a pint glass). My sister purchased an obscene number of clothing items. What a cute, clean, classy shop. We enjoyed it thoroughly and probably would have stayed longer if we didn't have to get to our next event.

College visit for my daughter. Very nice campus. Being a swimmer, I was particularly impressed with the 50 meter swimming pool. Additional 6-lane 25 yard facility next to it, located under a 10-meter tower and multiple spring boards. Yet an additional pool for lounging (one of those hotel-style curved pools). All this was next to their incredibly elaborate Ice Hockey arena facility in the next building.

I was at Miami for a convention and stayed in the dorms. My immediate impression of the campus was that it was huge. From the farthest apartments and dorms, you would definitely need a car or to use the bus system. The buildings are nice, the older ones are typical brick and wood style but are in great shape. The campus is beautiful. The dining halls were decent.. on the small side with not a whole lot of direction of where to go and the food was overall just ok. For a rural campus, it is really nice to see they have a "downtown" area, which is much larger than I had expected it to be.
