base camp outfitters

We were staying at the Inn at Long Trail on a break from our hike and needed to find souvenirs for our children to send home. They recommended Base Camp Outfitters down the road. We caught "The Bus" and they dropped us off right across the street. We were greeted by the owner and his beautiful dog relaxing outside. When we walked in we realized this store has everything you need for several activities as well as a great selection of souvenirs. We found several things for our kids but other items include a beautiful selection of jewelry and syrups/snacks that are local. In addition to these items they have an apparel selection for hiking/backpacking and skiing. Also, several equipment needs for both as well as disc golf and other outdoor activities. We met another couple on the trail and one had broken his trekking poles so we told them about this shop and caught up with them at the Inn a day or two later. They were able to purchase new poles and were on the trail again a day later. Great service and selection!
