This course was in great shape. It had great views of the hotel and most importantly thestaff was top notch. They treated me well beyond expectations.
Course layout is great. Nice wide fairways, powder sand in traps, and very water hazards. Course plays great from any tee. There are a couple of holes you hit across a water hazard to the green. Challenging but doable if you place your drive in the right spot. Beverage cart came by frequently. Restrooms were clean and several spots to grab water. There is a snack bar also. Course was in pretty good shape, but for the $$$, try Pembroke Lakes.
This is a great challenging golf course with manicured fast greens. It is tough but a pleasure to play in this magnificent course. The service is very good from the time you arrive, in the course and at the hole 19 for drinks. The price to play is about what you would expect for a hotel course. A bit expensive but well worth it.
I always go there for some tee time. Place is good wide parking nice location. Food at restaurant is good as well as service.
This review comes from a PGA of Canada Professional. I was very lucky to have accidentally found The Biltmore golf course. This course is a classic Donald Ross design that has withstood time. The course is VERY playable and player friendly. The service was fantastic. The conditioning fantastic. The greens were absolutely MINT. Anyone can play at the Biltmore. I was told by the starter that many celebrities play the track. We apparently missed Jordan by a few days. The food on the other hand....meh. Go to the hotel although I didn't eat there. You'll love it.
This golf course is just splendid and very well manicured. I enjoyed the golf course. The greens were in perfect conditions. Rated 31 in Florida according to a magazine I read. I think it deserved even a better rating. The golf course sets next to a great and historic hotel where Clinton and many famous people have been. The only negative I could come up with would be the food (at the golf course) was average and very comparable to any regular golf courses (burgers and sandwiches).Certainly worth the trip and I most likely return in the futur
There's no doubt the Biltmore Golf Course is historic. Designed by famous architect Donald Ross (Pinehurst #2, Oak Hill, Oakmont and many more classic courses) way back in 1925 it is a lot of fun to play. However, you get the feeling that the famous Ross characteristics have been peeled away over the years including mounding of the greens, The greens are by far the toughest part of the course offering very few level putts into the holes. Otherwise the course is very flat with not too many trees separating the holes. The conditioning was also not up to what my expectations are. It's worth playing once but I wouldn't play it again.
Played here twice, once in the rain and once on a sunny day and I loved the course. They have some very memorable holes (over water) and the course was in great shape
This place is beautiful. In the heart of coral gables. The grass is Maintained very well. The first 9 are pretty tough. The staff is great. Make sure not to park next to the fence. We saw a car with their window broken from a golf ball.
This is a nice course at a beautiful hotel. The practice facility could be better, so that is why not five stars. I've played it twice, with members both times. This helps; the local knowledge is invaluable. If you like historic courses, this golf course is hard to beat.
We had a great day of golf here today. The greens are pretty fast and in very good shape. The staff is friendly and helpful. The fairways and bunkers very well maintained. Not too much traffic the day we played
The only way to play this course is to get a deal on line. Other than that it is NOT worth the money. Starter was rude, I called ahead to let them know that I was running late because of traffic and showed up 5 mins before tee time. I was ready to go, only to find out that he sent the group out 15 mins early and told me to play by myself until I could catch up with them. What a JOKE and rude about it. The grounds where not in the best of shape. The layout of the course was a bit confusing at times and the signs where missing to the next hole...ie the 10th hole starts all the way over on the other side and no direction. Hard for a first timer to get around. Driving range was not in the best of shape. Bathroom at the snack bar was a mess and smelled. The only saving grace was the people I was playing with and the outside patio after golf for drinks and some food. Our Waiter who I can not remember his name but Lived in Pa at onetime, was GREAT. When I asked for 2 ice tea and 2 lemonades for just me he knew to bring over the pitchers and leave them with us. That is why he got the big tip. Jerry Ehrlich from the Great City of Philadelphia
This course is overrated because of the hotel. Paid 55.00 through a special & was very dissapointed with the course. Greens are rolling great but rest of the course does not warrant a price tag of over $100.00 to almost $200.00. I thought I was playing a low to medium course at most. Don't waste your money at this courseDennis from Ottawa, Canada
We reserved a Tee Time through the hotel ( telephone number found in the internet) with 2 days in advance, when we showed, there was no registration with the starter. The people at the proshop rude with very poor attitude to help.We could´t play.We wasted our only Golf Vacation day. With so many courses in Miami!
This course meets all expectations: good challenge, great holes, classy surroundings and top notch service.I cannot fault the layout and genuinely this is one of the best courses I've ever played. Book via www.golfnow.com for a great deal on green fees!
