A fantastic trail under the huge banyans trees, keeping you protected from the blistering Miami sun ! Pass by some magnificent properties to feed yourAmerican dream
Great trail for biking, jogging, etc...safely off the street and not much traffic. Enough space for two-way traffic
I have been using this route which uses sidewalks, compete with banyan tree roots, wide paved paths south of Fairchild Gardens and ends up in Black Point park and continues on No 5 south to Homestead. During Jan-Feb and Mar trip south this year I put approx 70 miles week enjoying this tour through Coconut Grove, Deering estate Pinecrest, , Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay to Black Point and Homestead. This route is fabulous in the winter 70-80 degrees, with an almost constant onshore breeze to cool you and to tire you when it kicks up a bit in velocity. It is also great in the summer with the breeze keeping you comfortable, but sunscreen is a must. Many through riders going through this area on way to and from Key West. Below Black Point, the ride is on paved farm roads through miles of palm tree nurseries. When in Miami head there- rent a bike from many of the bike shops in Coconut Grove. After the trip enjoy great restaurant scene in the Grove
Pleasant bike route from Matheson Park all the way to Coconut Grove. Shady centennial tres. Nice houses to see.
scenic, peaceful away from the big city rush, lovely homes and mansions, botanical park and tropical park on route
Beautiful Tree lined road. Drive from Coconut Grove south to 216 street turn right to get on the Florida Turnpike, which will take you to the end and merge on to US1 to the Keys.
