Beach Street is a great place to be during Bike Week. Lots to see and do. Official Bike Week welcome center is here with all the official Bike Week gear. Free parking, live music, food, beer, multiple bike shops, including Indian and BMW. Definitely worth checking out.
If you find yourself in Daytona with a couple of hours to kill, head to Beach St. It is easy to find. Travel east on International Speedway Blvd to you see the bridge. The street just before the bridge is Beach. Great little shops ands bars. In the summer the shops are on the shady side of the street.
I wrote a review about a year ago about Beach Street saying that it had little going for it except looks. Well that has all changed because it has improved almost 100%. It is now a vibrant place to be thanks to so many new merchants having a vision of what Beach St. truly is. What can I say, "Hope Springs Eternal". Go and enjoy!
Loved easy access to the ocean and the beachy shops to browse in. Lots of hotel choices near the water. Autos can drive on the beach for a fee and there is beachfront where autos are not allowed.
We visited historic Beach Street during hte annual Chocolate and Wine Festival and enjoyed the eclectic array of shops and eateries. The on-street parking is convenient and the the location near the water makes it a nice diversion from a day at the famous beach.
Interesting and variety of quaint shops, bistros, antique stores, not too busy but more restful and enjoyable. Makes for a very pleasant afternoon. Enjoyed several restaurants over the years. Never disappointed.
Visited the Candy Shop & bought some tasty orange products. Coupons were available in our hotel lobby. Great souveniers!
Great place to walk with some really nice restaurants and some poor which you would get everywhere! Loved the place and the views of the beach!
This is a very pleasant street to stroll sown checking out the shops and eateries. The massive redevelopment of the street that was finished a number of years ago really spruced up the area. It still has vacant buildings that need to be filled with offices or retail shops.
This is a charming street with historic buildings, unique shops, great eateries, and a beautiful view of the river. When the weather is nice, it is a great stroll. The Cinamatique Theatre shows interesting independent and foreign films. There is a chocolate factory with tours. Vegetarian, Thai, Asian, mMexican, Middle Eastern , ice cream, pub, and other eating options abound. Antiques, unIque clothing, jewelry, shoes, sports equipment, books, and a well stocked wig shop are all there. Something different than the typical US mall experience.
The shopping and dining area is only about 3 or 4 blocks long, several small stores and a few eateries give Beach St a quaint atmosphere. There is a park across the street on the Halifax River, if your in the area, stop and enjoy Beach St
Not a lot for kids but a great place for adults. Much history and memorabilia; several antique/collectors bookstores. Do yourself and your health a favor and avoid Stavros (http://originalstavrospizzahouse.com/) it is filthy and is nothing like the website pictures nor the positive reviews - the food is disgusting and the place is dirty. The street is a great place to walk and enjoy but beware much of the stores close early in the evening. The area is not an inexpensive/bargain spot. Parking is free for limited times; easy access. Both sides of the street provide much to see.
The walk was nice and not too crowded. The shops were close and you can find just about anything you want. There is a reason it's the most famous beach in the world. Good times!!!
It is good place to walk. Some restaurants, cafeterias, stores, is an interesting point in Daytona. The vision of the Halifax river is good.
Beach street is so charming and beautifully lined with palm trees for strolling and taking in the many assorted shops. It's near Jackie Robinson field, walking distance to the yacht club, library, and many restaurants.
