First let me say the entrance to this park is located behind the CVS on 24th street and Federal Hywy. Maps will tell you it's on the East side of the intracoastal but it isn't! This park has a peaceful Boardwalk with breathtaking views of the intracoastal. I had to use every once of willpower I had not to jump into the crystal clear water in the shallows! Lovely little gem! Can't wait to go back! I'll upload a few pictures we took today!
What a lovely spot- private, lovely picnic tables with BBQ grills. Boardwalk thru the canopy with great view of the intercoastal. You can walk down to the small beaches and just chill out. Great for children- wonderful playground. Drawback is the trash ledt behind by boaters. Kudos to Boca Raton- their parks are fabulous!
Had a mangrove nature walk with several paths and rest areas with vistas out toward Lake Wyman, an inter-coastal area. That part was ok - mangroves are interesting for only so long, and the vistas at the rest areas were not anything real special, but it was tranquil and maybe a nice spot for reading. We entered at the north end of the park behind the CVS. Proceeding southbound, there are rest rooms (very clean), a children's play area, then an extensive walking/jogging track with special exercise stations, and a soccer field.
Quiet with a great boardwalk. If you follow the path all the way to the end there is a place to walk along the shore of the intercostal. Lots of wildlife to enjoy if you are quiet. The mangroves are awesome!
This Palm Beach County park has just about every amenity possible in one place. There is a good size water park and the Daggerwing Nature Center. Every type of sports field and court is available. There are plenty of biking and walking paths and numerous parking lots. Check out the website before you go or you will be driving around for a while.
We spotted this lovely park while on the look out tower at Gumbo Limbo, on the east side of the intracoastal. Drove around and found it hidden behind the Publix shopping center. Playground at the south end and lots of quiet serene boardwalk paths. A few pavilions to enjoy lunch in the shade viewing the intracoastal. There is also a beach access area where locals anchor their boats and enjoy themselves. Had a great time and look forward to returning to discover the other wonders of this park.
