The course is laid out nice. Long, fairways nice, greens need some work(could be the season). Back nine had challenging holes. People very nice, food excellent also driving range to practice.

The front nine of the Brooksville Country Club is relatively flat with some undulation, but several of the holes on the back nine are totally different with tee areas high above the greens making it very picturesque. We found out about this course on the golf now website and are happy we did. We will return to play again if we're in the area in the future.

We had our wedding here and the place is very nice. The outside scenery is so beautiful, we took so many pictures. Our wedding was outside undr a tree and it was magical. They set us up with the convience of gold carts for us and out guest. The service was superb. For anyone that may be on a strict budget as we were, this is the place. Prices are terrific to rent the room with dance floor. We had a 4 hour open bar with beer and wine only and our guest could purchase other drinks. Everything went so smoothly, from them giving myself and my husband seperate areas to get ready and wait and then how they had everything cordinated very well. The outside caterer that they use is fantastic, his food is so delicious. You can decorate the room the way you want. They set the tables were I needed them all and I went in an decorated the tables. I would recommend this country club if you are on as budget and want something simple and not too elegant, but beautiful. The service was terrific too. Dont forget its not just for weddings, you can have anykind of party and dont forget about playing golf!!

Some holes on the back nine are over or through the quarry and very challenging. Otherwise an OK course if you are looking for a game.

Greens were perfect, layout is decent and practice facilities were good. Except for uneven lies on range it was good. Affordable rates especially for the conditions. Lots of trees on front nine so keep your drives in the fairway.

shows signs of the times ,maintenance wise fairways were patchy an greens were slow .The interesting part of the course is the quarry, if you could just play it, it would be nice but they don't sell five hole pkg.played it twice in six month wasn't in awe the first time thought weather had a big part to do with the conditions but not .(maintenance )If you don't have the help it hard to keep up with thing the 19th hole as some of us refer to there was only one person for that an the dinning area at the time.waited to get drinks at the turn, It just shows the economic impact on a lot of the golf courses today. as someone else commented it s off the beat an path that is true.

Brooksville Country Club is just a bit off the beaten path for most travelers and you will need to download directions to find it. However, it is worth the trouble. It is a well designed and maintained regulation length golf course and most of the holes are what probably be considered a parkland layout. There are elevation changes, a good mix of holes of various lengths and challenge. However, the back nine has four holes which are in or cross an old quarry, which are very dramatic, attractive and quite different from the rest of the course. The greens fees are appropriate - neither cheap nor overpriced. the staff is friendly and helpful and the pace of play is good - we have played several times and a four hour round seems to be the norm. Brooksville is about 60 miles north of the Tampa- St. Pete area and so is a good stop along the way for those heading north or south.

You have to put up with the front nine to enjoy the back nine. The greens are in excellent shape both front and back nine. Fun back nine well worth the travel.

When we had a group of guys they gave us a discount, nice course, then we stop in and had a drink afterwards.

The back nine is very challenging and the course has been in very good shape when I have played it. Great practice facility (not like World Woods) and the Club House is above average. Very decent food.

The front 9 is links style, fairly flat not many curves but a lot of Oak Trees if you get off the fairway. The back 9 has the quarry holes - 12-13-14 and 17. They require a good shot either to the fairway or on the green. The par 4 13th has been Aced! Carts are gas and walking is not permitted.

We just played a few days ago and the greens were in rough shape. They aerated the greens then we got deluged with rain. They added way too much sand to the greens and it was very difficult, if not impossible to put. We had heard many recommendations for this course and were a little let down. We will try again later in the summer and maybe the greens will be in better shape. We were a foursome. The front nine is nothing exceptional. The fairways are narrow enough that accuracy is not mandatory but very helpful. It was difficult to locate balls in the first cut of rough outside the fairway. The sand traps were in abysmal shape but that's to be expected from the 9 days of rain in a row. We played on a Saturday morning and were disappointed the bar and grill was not open until 11. We could have used a cocktail, and they did not have a "beer cart" on the course. We were able to get drinks at the turn. The back nine was more exciting with the 4 quarry holes and some elevation in West Central Florida. I was surprised at the small amount of paved cart paths given our green fees were $34 in the height of summer. Our cart was gas powered, somewhat loud for my liking, and the ride was a little bumpy. The forward tee boxes were flat, which is nice, and the blues were as well. We were asked to allow a group of members riding in individual carts to play through "or they will be on you" but we were waiting behind a threesome. Also the members did not adhere to any sort of course respect. i.e. driving right next to the greens, and driving their carts in the fairway of a cart path only hole. It was very off-putting to see such lack of respect from members. After our round we ate lunch at the grill and my patty melt was delicious. They had water available on the course, always a necessity in Florida. There were decent bathrooms on the front nine but on the back nine I think it is port a potties.

Fair to good condition, brilliant Quarry holes on back nine, different elevations, water, and good greens. Sand Traps a disappointment, need sand and maintenance.

We've done this course before and it's always one that we want to come back to! They have a starter and a good system of keeping people moving on the course. We had an extra person but not a player and they did not charge for a rider as many courses around FL do.The front 9 is your typical Florida golf course but once you reach #12 on the back, prepare to get excited! The view, just standing on the tee box is incredible. You need to be sure to have a camera with you. Play does get slower here because of some of the shots that people need to make but it's worthwhile to play. It's not as difficult as it seems. We always enjoy coming here to play and seeing the view once again! Simply Amazing!
