This golf course is very narrow and hard to play which is not the reason for the 2 points. The reason is that this course compared to other (puplic) golf courses in Florida is in really bad order which spoiled the whole game. The greens are like fields with some grass on it and the fairways should be called meadows. If they then charge you 20$ per person for a twilight greenfee on a rotten course like you can call this intolerable. The only thing that was absolutely worth the 20 bucks was the young wild alligator resting in the little pond on hole #3. Thanks for that!

Unless you have another reason for being in the area don't make the effort.I did not want to rate the facility "poor" because I actually had a very good time. Much of that was due to the company and the golf course was interesting if not challenging. Unfortunately the greens had just been aerated so the putting was a little difficult and we really had to play preferred lies because the grass is very thin. The "Old Club House" is certainly old FFlorida as is most of the area. Also Bokeelia is far off the beaten path.Because the course is short it can be fun for beginners and less skilled players and don't avoid it but if you go don't say I sent you.

Eingebettet in die natürliche Landschaft auf Pine Island lassen teils etwas dürftig gepflegte Abschläge und Spielbahnen, neu angesäte und daher nicht kurz gemähte Greene sowie umweltverpestende knatternde Carts mit Verbrennungsmotoren sicherlich nicht die helle Freude bei ambitionierten Golfern aufkommen. Teilweise sehr schmale Spielbahnen und geschickt platzierte Hindernisse erfordern aber exaktes Spiel, um den Ballverlust in Grenzen zu halten. Und die großartige Flora und Fauna entschädigen insbesondere die Liebhaber naturbelassener Golfplätze. Sehr imposant sind zahlreiche Weißkopfseeadler, die man hier aus nächster Nähe auf ihrem Horst, im Flug sowie beim Schlagen ihrer Beute in den Seen beobachten kann. Auch wenn's golferisch kein Highlight sein mag: unbedingt eine Runde spielen - und sei es nur um die Natur zu genießen und zu entschleunigen.

In ursprünglicher Natur angelegter Golfplatz, der wg. vieler Wasserflächen, undurchdringlichen Gebüschen und teilweise schmalen Fairways präzises Spiel erfordert, will man nicht viele Bälle einbüßen. Sehr preisgünstig, Greenfee nachmittags nur 35 $ inkl. Cart.Super Service: bei Ankunft auf dem Parkplatz kommt ein Mitarbeiter mit dem Kart zum Auto und nimmt einem die Bags ab, um sie auf dem Kart zu befestigen.Nachteilig: wie auf vielen Plätzen Floridas wird auch hier nicht auf Etikette geachtet, besonders nicht hinsichtlich zügigem Spiel.Ansonsten sehr empfehlenswert!
