Friday nights are awesome at the park. The weather was fantastic Friday July 25th. The seats we had were great. The whole experience was a family good time. AWESOME Fireworks display!!!
Very nice park, inexpensive (best seats are $13, cheapies down to $4). Activities in between innings, kid friendly.
My wife and I did a weekend get away and this was the one thing that we did for ME. :)I was pleased with the price of tickets, food variety/prices and the people. The staff we interacted with were all VERY FRIENDLY and helpful. The fans we interacted with were all very friendly knowledgeable as well. Those we interacted with truly enjoy their Miner Baseball. They did not skimp on the firework show they provided at the end of the game, it did not disappoint. It was an added bonus that our hotel was walking distance from the field (actually 3 nice hotels within walking distance) I will definitely be back for a game the next time I am in the area.Added bonus if you have little ones with you. They had inflatable slides, bounce houses etc to help keep the little ones happy.
One of the greatest additions to ever be added in Marion is Rent One Park. Marion is an up-and-coming city that is growing very fast, and this park is a good indicator of that. A great event for way more than baseball, it's a fun place for everyone to attend. I've never seen a better minor league stadium or game experience than here. Packed with games, activities, fun, and great food, this place absolutely can't be beat. So go grab your friends and family and root on the Southern Illinois Miners!
Greatly enjoyed a night at Rent One Park! We were a group of 10 and I purchased tickets online. The online order didn't give me our seat location so I called the box office the next morning for that and requested our seats be split to 5 in neighboring rows. He was very accommodating and we had great seats behind home plate. The night was topped off with fantastic fireworks! Take the family and have a fun night!
We have visited this ballpark several times and always enjoy ourselves. Our most recent visit (June 25, 2014) was spontaneous and it did not disappoint. The park is very nice. The tickets and concessions are budget friendly. Our children (boys ages 6 & 10) always enjoy meeting the players, shopping in the team store, and the Friday night fireworks. The promotions at the park and on their Facebook page are also good. If you are in Marion and enjoy baseball, you should catch a Miners game. Recommendations...area hotels occasionally have season tickets for guest. When you book a room mention you are going to a game. We recently stayed at Drury Inn and were given 4 free tickets for Box seats ($36 value). Also, check the SI Miners website for promotions and their Facebook page for ticket discount offers.
Nice place for inexpensive evening. Prices are a fraction of a major league park. Although this is more in the nature of minor league. But still some very talented baseball, a thousand times better than I could ever do. Two drawbacks: You are close to the action, I mean a few feet off the baseline. You can see the action like you are in the game, but you better keep aware because balls and bats come over that short retaining wall just like you were on the field. If you get hit, it's gonna hurt! So heads up at all times if you are sitting down low. Second: the older men ushers are crabby and un friendly. If you are in the wrong area for your ticket, don't let them know it. Ask a question, get a surly answer. That was my only complaint.
Good food, prices and baseball. Between innings games too. Easy access to roads and parking is just outside main gate. No long walks.
Our local minor league team are award winning and the ballpark is very family friendly and great value
I simply love the minor leagues. Baseball is fun here, silly at times, the players may want to go pro, but they play for the fans and we appreciate it! The menu has not changed since the park opened, but the service is pretty unacceptable and the quality of the food has dipped. Once we could be assured that the super nachos were, now not so much. Hoping the 2014 season sees an improvement.
Our family loves to go here and watch the Minors. Great fun for all of all ages. The people of Marion Love and Support our team. When we have guests stay at our house during season we always take them to a game. The have great Fan participation
Catching games at rent one park is a blast. It feels like you are attending a big league game but you don't have to deal with the high priced tickets, huge crowds, etc. They put on a great show with everything from mascots, cheerleaders, halftime shows and lots of fireworks. I highly recommend checking a game out there if you ever get the chance.
