Come to think of it.....the ONLY Rt. 66 stop in Gardner. But it is worth stopping to see the Jail and the restored trolley diner next to it. Both of these items are one of a kind and the jail is original and actually built on site and used for many years - hard to believe! This is a part of Rt. 66 History and you have to be a historical item lover to be on Rt.66 - so do stop and enjoy!

We headed to Gardner to see the Two Cell Jail House – it was a 15 minute drive from the Polk-a-dot diner where we had just eaten. It was very quiet when we arrived. We signed the guest book, then went inside and took some photos. There is nothing much else to do after that!Great Rt66 photo opp. Interesting – worth a stop.
