settler's hill golf course

I was a little concerned after reading reviews but the condition of the course was outstanding. Have never played a course with all tough par 5s. Other than the par 5s, loved the course.

I've golfed at Settler's Hill many times over the years, most recently in August 2014. In the past the fairways weren't in great shape, but this year they definitely were. The course is challenging, with many hills and tall rough. Yardage is difficult to determine at times, particularly in situations where you have to decide whether to lay up (i.e. with a creek short of the green). The greens were a bit hard to read this year. You can't beat their Tues/Weds lunch special - golf with a cart for $25 if you have their email coupon.

Yes it is on a landfill, but the elevation changes and hole variety are spectacular. I've golfed at Hilton Head and many other much higher priced courses and Settlers Hill is still my favorite.
