If u r a hiker u need to get your picture taken on Devils bridge. Don't bring young kids or dogs as it is very dangerous. It's wider than it looks., but we saw siblings fighting out on it. And was nervous when I saw a dog go out as I don't know how strangers would react to dog or how the dog would react to steep hill. But given proper safety percautions. A must see.
We hiked this trail one afternoon, after doing a more challenging hike that morning. This hike was rated easy/moderate and 3.6 miles roundtrip from the parking lot. The beginning is easy, but once you are on the main trail and climbing it gets more challenging. We had a hiker in our group who was not a fan of the narrow climb up to the bridge...be aware there are a few areas of the trail that require use of hands and good balance. Once up at the top there is an area to hang out and enjoy the views. It was worth it!
Tons of mud after a rainy couple of days, snow, and hail as we hiked but this was worth it. The coolest location makes for great photos. Trail leads you to Devil's Bridge where you can walk out onto a rock formation high above the trail. The top of the hike is steep with rock steps - not for those afraid of heights or cliffs. The rest of the hike is fairly easy. I believe it was about 4 miles out and back. Worth the trip - you won't be sorry you went.
This is one of the most scenic natural bridges we have seen. Great for photos. Well marked trail and easy to walk with the exception of the last quarter mile.
Near Boynton Canyon, this easy-access short, but steep hike offered one of our favorite views. Stepping out on to the bridge felt like taking a role in an Indiana Jones movie. There are a lot of other folks on this busy trail, but it's well worth a little traffic.
Go when the crowds won't be as large, this is a must see in Sedona, the stair climb is intense, but totally doable and worth it even if you have to go a little slower. You must go out on the bridge, the resting spot on the other side of the bridge gets you away from the crowd and a fantastic view! Don't miss!
the hike to the bridge is fairly easy. however, the last part can be a bit tough if you are like me who is afraid of height. glad I did it. it was a great experience. the platform not to far from the parking lot is a good spot to see the sunset...don't miss it.
A must do for the hiker visiting Sedona. The end of the trail is a bit rugged but it's well worth going all the way to the top if you can. Don't miss this one. But carry lots of water, no matter what time of year, even in the cooler season. I would not recommend this hike during the summer...make sure you pick a cooler day. It's a very open trail. Bring a snack too.
One of the best we dd n the area. Scary as you get closer to the top as you scramble up the rocs to get to the bridge. And the view was out of ths world.
The last part of the hike is tough, but if you are not afraid of heights it's worth the time! Our favorite hike while in Sedona.
The trail to get to Devil's Bridge was not very exciting or scenic but seeing the bridge at the end of the trail makes it worthwhile. Easy access with ample parking to the trailhead is available off of Dry Creek Road.
There are many great hikes around Sedona, but this should be on your must do list. It is probably just above an easy hike, but not quite a medium. Most of the hike is flat except toward the end and then you have about half a mile uphill. I saw plenty of small children and older hikers on the trail so its is doable for just about anyone. The views are amazing and well worth the small hike.
Great EASY hike until you get to the end and then a little steep BUT don't stop! The surprise is the spectacular arch bridge which you can actually walk on! Plenty of parking at the devil's bridge trailhead. Seems to be longer than the stated 3.6 miles.
If you want to do a quick and easy hike with a great pay off this is the one. The bridge is scary at first but when you get there and walk around you get used to it. You can feel the breeze all around you. The view is breathtaking.
We absolutely loved this hike! Is was a little further then expected as we got off to a late start and it began to rain. We kept going though and the pay-off was spectacular! The rain was brief and the views were lovely. As a mom I could never bring smaller children on the bridge because of my fear of edges but it was so neat to see!!!! Well worth the hike!
