As the other people mentioned, it is pricey at $18. It was worth it to see though. Totally cool. There is a museum and also a store which sells mugs, magnets, t-shirts, rocks, minerals, etc. Check out the store for sales, we got a t-shirt for $7. There is also a Subway which is nice if you spend a few hours at the place.

Other reviewers and I agree that the expense of this place is its major drawback. However, if it were not privately owned, the uniqueness of the site would certainly lead to it becoming a national park. This is well worth a bit of time to leave the highway and see. Nothing you have read will prepare you for the size. The exhibits are outstanding.

Didn't go here as heard it is way over priced. Read the reviews before deciding like we did. We also talked to a few people who had visited here and said "Yes, it's a hole in the ground".

Geologically this is a must but you leave poor. Very expensive to walk in....then so so movie....exhibits were nice in museum... Extra for waking the trail...REALLY..... THAT IS RIDICULOUS!!!!

Let's get the negative out of the way, admissions is expensive. It was around $80 for 3 adults and 3 children (it is free/cheap for very young children, can't remember the ages). Well the meteor Crater was something to see, yes it is a big gigantic hole in the ground but it is a sight to see nonetheless. If you go hear please take the tour, our guide was very helpful and explained the history of the Crater to us.

The crater is pretty impressive, the interpretive stuff in the museum is OK, but maybe not so interesting if you already have any knowledge of asteroids and meteors. It's not cheap--$18 for adults and not bad value, but can't compare to the nearby Painted Desert and Petrified Forest, which are must dos.

We had enough time to view the movie and to take the informative walking tour out to the crater. This made the admission charge worth it. If you do not have the time, I wouldn't advise you to stop.

$!8.00 admission fee. I didn't go inside -not worth it to me to see a hole in the ground. This is just an fyi review because it's a little drive to get there and the people that did see it said it wasn't worth it. :)

This was very interesting. Never knew that a meteor had hit the US ever. Good for kids for the history of the whole thing

The crater is away from everything - an easy 45m drive from Flagstaff and 5+ miles south of I-40 - in the Middle of No Where®. The crater itself is beautiful and amazing to behold. No question this is a natural wonder to be seen. The crater is on private property and the visitor's center is privately run. Admission is $18 and the exhibits, though informative, are comparatively static. Souvenirs and cheap trinkets are pricey, too. There is, candidly, not a lot of energy about the place.Take the 1h walking tour to get a feel for the scale of the crater. Our guide - Jeff - was tremendous; he gave an entertaining and informative tour while keeping within the rather-strict guidelines (stay on the paths, no 'natural souvenirs,' please. You'll walk half mile around one side of the crater and return, but there are some incredible stories - and incredible picture spots - to take in. He made the trip out worth it.Be prepared for wind...lots of wind. The land is billiard-table flat as far as the eye can see (mountains near Flagstaff prominent to the west) and gale-force winds are common. March was brisk; I can imagine summer to be impossibly hot. Bring lots of water, too.The crater is the draw - and it is impressive - but as my child observed, "$18 is a lot to spend to see a hole in the ground, isn't it?" You be the judge.

This was a great attraction with lots of exhibits about meteors. The RV park was great. Teresa was friendly at check in and we got great over the air TV reception. The shower rooms were clean and roomy. We would definitely stay there again.

This is huge! Lots of history from mining to astronaut training. 2 outdoor decks for viewing (upper and lower) and a small indoor museum and theatre. Beware! It closes at 5pm. Admission was high $18 each and I wouldn't recommend for little kids as there's not anything for them to do or really understand. My 11 year old thought the place was "cool".

I did a quick stop at Meteor Crater. Unfortunately there was a storm moving in and it was very windy and cold. But they did have lots to look at inside as well. They had a very nice gift store there.

I have seen this probably about 10 years ago and enjoyed it. I didn't realize the price of admission is $18 now. You need to know that before you drive the 5 or so miles off the Interstate to see it. We turned around went back.
