Really good wildlife park. They have a lot of animals and are currently adding a tiger forest. They are currently extending the park to hold more animals. The kangaroos run free and are very friendly.
Had great day out at fota. Loved the way the animals have so much freedom to roam around. Bring your wellies though! It was very mucky
Great for families or couples Good value and lots to do Amazing wildlife and animal,s romaning shame the Tigers where hiding
went with a 6 and 3 year old, had a great time. my girls and fun looking at the lions, they were the best ever
We were in Fota and the weather was very mixed - and we still had a great time. The setting is lovely and you get the sense that all of the animals are very well cared for. It's a nice stroll with shelter in case of rain and a coffee shop half way round
Went here last Summer and really enjoyed it. They have a wide species of different animals here and the grounds are layed out very well.
Went there on a sunny Sunday; 3 adults and 8 kids under 8yo. Plenty of room to run around without bothering other visitors, great playgrounds, the kids had fun looking at the animals. Food in the restaurant was pretty average with very little choice. I'd say with the expension planned for the summer, they should make the eatery bigger and better.
excellent facility. very professionally managed and continuously investing in improvements.4 hours well spent and more to see on a return visit
Spectacular place. Fun for everyone. It is just a quick trip from Cork City. There seems to be a lot of growth going on, with new attactions promised. We will definitely go back,
I went here with friends and family we enjoyed both the wildlife park and gardens. The cafe in the gardens is cosy and serve lovely food and cakes
Fota never disappoints it is such an amazing place. . If you get the sunshine for your visit you will feel like you are in some exotic country on a mini safari.I live in Ireland and fota is like a little portal abroad. Its THAT good! Not to mention if you love animals there is a vast variety to view and you will be very pleased to see how much space they have to roam free!Overall an un missible amazing experience!
Great to see so many animals wander freely about, many great sides events on, very pleasant grounds, and a large chunk o your ticket price goes towards animal conservation. Don't miss: tigers, cheetah run, red panda (keep looking until you see him), lemurs (they won't often be in their enclosures, they wander a LOT)
Absolutely lovely, we went in early march and some of the animals weren't out which is completely understandable as fota is obviously a place that the welfare of the animals comes first this is obvious as you walk around the park which itself is beautiful. The animals all looked happy in there large spacious enclosures, you also get the chance to be up close and personal with some of the wildlife as they roam free around the park we found ourselves chilling out in the shade with a kangaroo which was more than happy for us to pet him. The ponds and waterfowl are amazing and as a person who keeps ornamental waterfowl I was very pleasantly surprised to see how well they were kept. I really cannot fault fota wildlife park and anyone giving out about animals not being out in the cold months have a bit of cop on the animals welfare comes before your pleasure. Would recommend to everyone it is a must visit and I for one will be back plenty of times.
Without a doubt this is a real treat for young old and in between, the animals and other creatures are breathtaking, the whole day was so relaxing and couldn't have been better, the park is wonderfully signposted and the staff are available for guiding you through and just a wealth of information, we'd most definitely come back.
decided to go here 28th Feb, had been a few yrs ago & wasnt impressed but my boyfriend wanted to go & some people had told me it had gotten alot better, hardly any animals out, didnt see one staff when i was walking around, just seemed dreary & was just not worth the €15 i paid in, wouldnt go back again
