palazzo e giardini estensi

The grounds are well maintained, even in early spring (late March), and the view of Varese and the nearby mountains from the top of the hill is lovely.

I visited the gardens during the Varese Fiera Agricultura. The beatiful formal gardens I remembered as a kid played host to goats, sheep, cows, and horses. The fair included a piazza reserved for tasting. All the products of the Province were on display.

Very nice park in the center of Varese. Just lay on the grass under huge trees - what might be more pleasant!

the gardens are lovely but you cannot see the palace itself from the inside as its used by various council departments, which is a real shame. we did take a picture of a painted ceiling on one of the staircases ( look for the golden busts) which gave a glimpse of what visitors to varese are missing! there is a bar/café in the park and childrens rides.

The gardens are pleasant and fairly well maintained. The requisite features of formal gardens dating to the 18th century seem to all be here. I must be jaded though, because I didn't see any delightful new surprises not seen in other places. Nevertheless, I do think this is terrific for Varese.

Entering through an archway just off a busy main street, these gardens provide a surprising oasis of calm, away from the traffic. The backdrop is a (now) municipal buidling which is said to resemble Schoenbrunn Palace in Vienna. There is an impressively large fountain as well as a additional "lago di cigni", complete with swans, forest paths, a number of different parterre gardens, a children's miniature railway, archaelogical museum in a hilltop villa, plus children's go-kart track and minigolf, spread out over quite an area. Also, plenty of seats just to sit and relax away from the bustle of the town!

Even in the snow, this is a seriously beautiful area...or maybe because of the snow, this is a seriously beautiful area. Stop by before or after eating at one of the nearby restaurants and just walk around for a little while

Il parco é grande ma avrebbe bisogno di più pulizia e manutenzione ( spazzatura sparsa in giro da ragazzetti incivili) idem per il palazzo.

Já Tinha ido em outra ocasião, mas nevava e não pude aproveitar. Da segunda vez que fui, foi na primavera. O Jardim é realmente lindo em bem cuidado. A tarde passou rápido, enquanto as minhas filhas corriam brincando no Jardim.

La libera circolazione di persone a cui i giardini sono di poco interesse ....Peccato perchè in visita quotidiana ci sono scolaresche e turisti occasionali attratti dai programmi pubblicitari della città .

fino a qualche anno fa, la citta di Varese era nominata la citta giardino, perchè circondata da diverse ville circondate a loro volta da bellissimi parchi, tra le quali il palazzo comunale con annessi i giardini Estensi, liberi al pubblico, dove si possono vedere delle bellissime piante secolari e bellissimi fiori. Si può visitare anche un museo di storia antica e un bel parco giochi per bambini bello veramente

Bello e sempre molto curato, E' sempre piacevole tornarci per una passeggiata o per la lettura di un libro in tranquillita.

è un bel parco tenuto bene, bellissimo l'ingresso dal comune, e i vialetti che portano al museo, piante importanti e un bel minigolf.

Giardini meravigliosi nel centro di Varese, posto sempre ben curato. Adatto per una passeggiata romantica e un giro con gli amici. Il paesaggio che si offre allo sguardo del visitatore non tradisce mai. Superato il portone d'ingresso lascia senza fiato. Lo consiglio a tutti coloro che vanno a Varese anche per poche ore. A mio parere è imperdibile!!!
