We were in Thessaloniki for a work trip, and managed to get here 2 out of 4 nights. Actually felt disappointed we didn't get here the other two.If you've been to a good craft beer bar anywhere else, you'll feel right at home. They run a bottle shop as well in case you get over-fond of anything.The owner is usually behind the bar, and he's absolutely passionate about getting people to try and enjoy craft beers - to the point he just wanders up to your table and says "you have to try this, it won ... ".

Beer pub with european attitude,style,and service (self service).You can choose from 12 tap beer line,some local greek microbreweries and a huge variety of bottled beers(some realy rare).Rock music and tasty plates to enjoy with your beer...

The Pub and Beet Art are worth a visit, but THE place to go in Thessaloniki if you like proper beer is The Hoppy Pub. What George the owner is trying to achieve is truly Herculean - not only educate the locals in the ways of proper beer instead of mass produced pap, but encouraging the nascent craft brewing industry in Greece. Pity Tripadvisor only marks out of 5 because if it was out of 10 I'd give this place an 11!

For 3 days couldn't find it but apparently was closed because George the owner was sourcing beers in Rome would you believe.Only genuine good beers not your Carling nor John Smith's.Don't go in the obvious places search out the best ones and its worthwhile.Football on and I drank amazing beers .Good music and vibe .It's like an English pub with better beers and Greek hospitality .Maybe I should downgrade it because he was shut for 3 days but no way.Haste me back.

Amazing craft beer pub! I was so pleased to find it on a recent trip to Thessaloniki. The owner was very friendly and we had great conversations about craft beer while sampling excellent beer from across Europe.

For anyone who is a good (craft) beer lover this is place to go in Greece. Being from Portland, Oregon (the motherland of beer) I was desperate to find a place that had beer other than Alfa or Fix near thessaloniki. Not only is this the only place but this is the best place. If the hoppy pub was in Portland alongside all the other craft brew pubs it would still be one of my favorites. George the owner is one of the nicest human beings I met while in Greece. He is incredibly knowledgeable about beer and keeps a great rotating selection on tap. Just writing this review is making me miss my visits there. It's definitely a place I'd go back to!

You will find the best craft breweries on tap, from USA, Europe and Greece, generally from all around the world. The variety of beer etiquettes is enormous. Ask George to help you making suggestions. The beer snacks are excellent too.

There is no other beer bar in Thessaloniki with this exceptional variety of beers! George the owner is the best!

ενα εξαιρετικο μαγαζι που τιμα τον ζυθο οσο κανενα αλλο,απο τις κανουλες του εχουν περασει κ περνουν καθημερινα απιθανες ετικετες ποιοτικης μπυρας που δυσκολα θα βρει κανεις...μικρος ζεστος χωρος με τον ιδιοκτητη (Γιωργαρο) να δινει ρεσιταλ εξυπηρετησης.αποτελει must σε καθε μας επισκεψη στην Θεσσαλονικη!!

Una perla per chi come me ormai quando beve birra la vuole solo artigianale. Avevo letto delle ottime recensione su questo pub piuttosto giovane a pochi passi dalla White Tower. Il propietario George è innamorato dell'Italia e delle nostre birre. All'interno troverete birre artigianali da tutto il mondo, anche dalla Grecia. Incuriosito mi sono buttato proprio sulla birra grecia. George senza avermi mai visto si è subito messo a chiacchierare con me e mi ha fatto provare la Rage of Grains, una black ipa di un birrificio di Salonicco. Anche la mia ragazza ha preso un'IPA sempre della zona (mi sembra venisse da Santorini). Poi ho continuato a bere birre greche e mi sono buttato su una Golden Ale davvero buona, ma della quale maledizione non ricordo il nome! Ci hanno offerto noccioline e altre cose salate, ci hanno fatto vedere Italia-Costa Rica (ahinoi, visto il risultato finale) e offerto anche del formaggio. Un trattamento straordinario. Poi George mi ha anche preso in simpatia offrendomi la birra iniziale. Da dire che all'interno ha tantissime ottime birre straniere, da Brewdog, Flying Dog, Mikkeller e altri birrifici. Ho però preferito provare delle birre che non posso trovare nei birrifici romani. Spero presto di chiacchierare nuovamente con George, magari a Roma o nuovamente a Salonicco un giorno.
