otzias beach

A beautiful and huge bay with crystal clear water. The sand is okay, nothing special and does not get cleaned (generally an issue on Kea). The right hand side is best for children as there are no rocks in the water and the water is shallow. Fantastic for swimming.

Its a nice organized beach with lots of families... nothing special. There are much more picturesque beaches on the island.

Fantastic place...very clean sea water,great service...kea is perfect destination to relax and it s just 1hour from Athens by boat...great escape!

The beach has 2 bars and simple deckchairs (not very confortable!), a lot of families with a very nice atmosphere. The bay is lovely. Music is sometimes to loudly but it does not really matter: you are on holiday!

A nice beach, good for families. Not at all the best on Kea, but easy to get to and quite scenic. A decent beach taverna.

Otzias is one of the three best beaches in the Island, it has two or three dozen umbrellas and sun beds and it is serviced by two bars. Dont expect to much just enjoy the sand, the water and the friendly athmosphere. There are two nearby taverns both serve great food. I spent there ten days and could spend ten more any time.

We just came back from a week in Kea and visited many many beaches. Otzias Beach is easily accessible by foot and car from most parts of the island. It's located 4 km from Vourkari and 6 km from the port town of Livadi. The roads leading to it are paved and there's a few places to park even when it's busy. It's known locally as a "family beach" because of it's location and size. We went about 3 or 4 times and the busiest we found it was on a Sunday afternoon of a bank holiday weekend but even then we found space under a shady tree. It's a lovely, long sandy beach with some pebble parts on one end while the rest is sand. There are several trees for shade and also wooden cabanas placed strategically along the beach by the town council. Weekends are busier than weekdays - for obvious reasons. But it's lovely swimming and the water is nice and tranquil. There are two nice tavernas on this beach - both of which offer exceptional food and service. One is at the bottom end of the beach and the other is at the top end. There is also a kiosk at the bottom of the beach which sells everything typical of a kiosk in Greece. Snacks, ice cream, water, refreshments, etc. And should you need an inflatable at the last minute, the kiosk has those as well. Word to the wise - most of the islands in the Aegean (as this one is) get quite windy and gusty during August but that shouldn't stop you from visiting. Highly recommend it and well worth a visit.

A lovely beach for everyone - fimily and couples. There is a spot with a beach bar and umbrellas and onother one for those who want to relax under the trees.

Open to northern gusts and swelling seas very often during the summer

The beach is nice, though not as spectacular as Xila or Sikamia. Do not miss the taverna by the beach, though. Not only are they very kind, but we ate delicious food and, especially, the most divine tiropita we have ever tasted!

This is the first beach that was organized with umbrellas and sunbeds. It is very easy to approach it since the roads are paved, so you don't have to drive through dirt road to get there like all the other beaches on the island. However it is not one of the most beautiful beaches on the island (like Spathi, Xyla, Sikamia, Kalydonihaki..)

Το νησί έχει πολύ πιο όμορφες παραλίες. Δεν ήταν κάτι το εξαιρέτικο. προσωπικά την είδα αλλά δεν έμεινα για μπάνιο.

μεγαλη αμμωδεσ παραλια με ξαπλωστρεσεχει ταβερνακια που μπορεισ να γευτεισ τα παντα.εχει πολλα δεντρα και πολλη ησυχια.

Ομορφη και εκετεταμένη παραλία στο μυχό ενός μεγάλου κλειστού κολπου! Εχει αρμυρίκια και πολύ ωραία νερα! Ίσως η ωραιότερη παραλία της Τζιας!
