Visited last weekend. Were greeted by Andrew the wine maker, very nice guy!The two people who served us (who's names I can not remember) were lovely and very knowledgeable!! They chatted with us about all the wines and how they are made. That was great. We brought quite a few wines. Will be visiting again!!

I have been drinking these wines on a regular basis (maybe a little too regular) since the early 2000's. It is a big statement to say that Warrabilla Reds are my absolute favourite wines to drink. They never fail to impress. If I produce them at a dinner party there is nothing but praise from the red drinkers. Big, bold and loads of fruit. The best decision I ever made with wine was to auction a bottle of 90 and 91 Grange and pour the proceeds into 2 dozen bottles of 2004 Warrabilla Parolas Durif. I still have 2 bottles left and they drink magnificently at 10 years of age. Once you try these wines you will be hooked too.

I was warned in advance of their wine's reputation for being full-bodied, big & bold. The proof of the pudding (as they say) was in the drinking, simply stunning. The durif was my personal favourite. But I was there for the fortifieds & again I was not disappointed. Could not separate the muscat from the tokay, both were equally as good. Staff were exceptionally kind and helpful.

Warrabilla has the welcome you only receive in the small, family run wineries (but not all manage the welcome as well as they do as Warrabilla). Not surprisingly we purchased a few bottles as well, and we just enjoyed the whole experience. Thanks Amy for the spontaneous tour of the winery.

We were introduced to the warrabilla brand a couple of years ago by someone who lived down that way. We were hooked immediately. I adore these reds - particularly the durif. I have converted my boss at work & family & neighbours. You really can't go any further that these huge reds! My favourite is the parolas but as a day to day - the cleanskins are magnificent. We went to a friends place for dinner the other day & he opened a grange ( not sure the year but apparently it was worth around $500 per bottle). It didn't come even close to this wine. Do yourself a favour & join their wine club when spots become available. That way you get access to some wines when they are low in stock. I have taken the parolas overseas with us to NY at Xmas & also to thailand on a recent trip. It's lovely to have it at a special dinner knowing you can't buy it up there :)

Enjoyed Warrabilla's long lunch on 30 August 2014 - eleven courses and 27 wines!! While the Durif, shiraz & cab sav have no equal in Rutherglen for big (16 to 17.5% alcohol) + balance combination, both the riesling and marsanne were also very respectable. A must visit winery in the Rutherglen region. Winemaker Andrew and crew are to be congratulated for putting on a great absolute value for money event that was very enjoyable.

Like your reds big in flavour, head here! My first exposure to a 'monster red' - their Parola Durif. Incredibly intense flavour, nose, colour. My first ever bottle was a gift I swore was $80+ but was amazed and delighted to know you can get this quality of wine for less than half that. Entry level wines are equally impressive, and their Marsanne is a must-try too. Amazing depth of flavour but still true to what we expect in this wine more generally.

We took the drive about 20mins out of town to visit this cellar door, we liked the wines, but thought the lady serving us was a bit dismissive toward my wife, concentrating her promotional knowledge on me. Netherless we purhased and look forward to enjoying our wine.

Have loved the Shiraz for a few years now but now to find they have made a wonderful full bodied Zinfandel is a real treat! The sparkling pinot noir chardonnay was also simply perfect on the pallet and I look forward drinking these two wines for a long time to come

Really surprised by Warrabilla. They are producing real wine with punch, and not following the current softly softly trend. Wines with bottle age are available at reasonable prices and well worth stopping in on. But leave some wine for me...

Great, small winery. The Durif was supposedly excellent, not a Durif drinker myself but one of the others loved it. The 2006 Vintage port , however, was truly excellent and the owner was amzing. It is about 15 Kms out of Rutherglen but well worth a visit. If coming from Yarrawonga, callin on the way to Rutherglen.

This cellar door is approx. 15km out of town. Great line up of big reds including up to 16% alcohol content. Nice fortified durif and muscats.

Wow, big bold Shiraz, especially the 2006, to die for, at a most reasonable price. This was the find of our recent weekend visit to Howlong and Rutherglen. At the western end of the Rutherglen, on the road that eventually ends up in Perth, this winery is a must. Intense bold flavours.Bravo.

Warrabilla is hands down the best producer of Durif around, incomparable with any alternatives. An absolute must-do for anyone visiting Rutherglen!

I have been drinking Warrabilla Reds for as long as I can remember, If I had drunk a few bottles less I could remember longer.Seriously, the best reason to go to the Rutherglen region. The wines they sell are all exceptional, and the hospitality they offer at cellar door is fantastic. The best heavy Durifs and great Shiraz. And keep an eye out for their Reisling. Its a little further out from Rutherglen than you may think, but make the trip, it will be worthwhile.
