I must say I've never had strawberries as delicious as the ones I had here. Very tasty and very good quality. Will be back on the way back for more...

Just out of Portland along the highway heading to Heywood and Hamilton, there is a strawberry farm on the left hand side of the road. The strawberries are freshly picked each day and you can have first class strawberries or the misshapen second grade. Either one you choose you will be delighted at the sweet sun-ripened berries, great with cream or icecream or just to munch as you drive along in the car. They also have strawberry wine, various chocolates and some sweets, and other goodies. Definitely the 'best in the west'!.

I love the strawberries from Portland Strawberries. Tasty, Juicy and so so fresh. Just so yummy, nothing nicer than freshly picked and these are picked daily.

The yummiest strawberries!! I bought the seconds and they were so tasty. Kilos of strawberries, what could be wrong with that. There is a huge variety of local products and I could have spent a great deal more.

To produce this high quality fruit, there must be some affinity for the climate, the soil and strawberry variety together with the care and job knowledge that is given to the strawberry plantation.Once you have eaten Portland strawberries you will never want to eat supermarket strawberries. Supermarket strawberries look nice under bright lights but are tasteless, have a woody texture, having been picked green, in cool storage and transported for unknown distances.Several times since October 2014, I have bought Portland strawberries, their seconds, irregular shape) for jam making, and the results have been excellent - to be given away for Xmas pressies (posted) to family who are interstate.Their little shop on Princes Highway, just out of Portland, also stocks many other products derived from strawberries, and others have reviewed these.In my opinion the Portland strawberries are superior to those available at the Hahndorf (Adelaide Hills) strawberry farm - having been to that Hahndorf site on at least 5 occasions.

Big, juicy, farm fresh strawberries home-grown at their own property which also comes in frozen form. They also produce their own strawberry wine, sparkling wine, strawberry liqueur, jam and many other local products. Wine tasting is also available. Strawberries sold out pretty fast so best to go in the morning to avoid disappointment.
