foxs reach pub & grill

This establishment has revised its menu, so we gave it a try for lunch with some friends during the Christmas break. The food was very tasty & staff were very friendly and allowed us time to sit & talk, so we could enjoy some quality time together!

Came here for drinks & dinner on Saturday night. Place was decently busy, and after seating ourselves on the pub side our server was prompt in taking a drink order. Had the sea salt & pepper riblets and spinach/artichoke dip for appies - both were good/average. They have a decently extensive menu, and I had the Baha shrimp sandwich with Ceasars salad, and my husband had the fish tacos. The shrimp sandwich was good, but the Ceasar salad was on the soggy side. The taco ingredients were very fresh, but quite bland - even though there was apparently habanero in the sauce. Good selection of beer and cocktail items.The decor/ambience is pretty nice, a little more upscale than the average pub. However we didn't find it to be overly clean. Now it was a slightly rainy day, but there was a fair amount of non compostable debris at the front entrance mat, the carpet in our area was also strewn with an above average level of debris, both our menus as well as the drink special menu were very sticky to the touch and in dire need of a thorough wiping - as was our table slightly, and the arms on my husband's leather chair were both torn. When we exited 2 hours later, there were also a couple of kitchen staff outside leaning against the windows having a smoke - which doesn't make a very good impression.Overall our experience was average, however I think this place has a lot of potential if management makes a few improvements.
