farmer john's petting zoo

This was a wonderful place for a family outing, particularly if the children are small. Sadly, it is now closed.

Farmer John's closed its doors last year, so if you're around Keromeous, go see the Grist Mill (take a picnice, run around, have fun, learn about the mill), but no petting zoo here for you, sadly!

After researching and planning our summer family vacation, we decided to spend a night in Keremeos in order to hit up Farmer John's Petting Zoo. We show up at 3:30pm and the road is blocked stating they are closed even though the sign says they close at 5pm. I walked up the driveway and they told me to leave as they are now closed FOR GOOD!! We decided to visit The Grist Mill instead which was nice. When I enquired at the Mill Visitor office about the petting farm the nice fella stated that this past Wednesday all of a sudden Farmer John's was closed without any notice. When we drove by the farm later the animals were being loaded up and shipped off. BEWARE -- the Farmer John's Petting Zoo website does not indicate they have closed their doors forever. VERY misleading!!!!!
