Or daytime for that matter. Dingy little park on Simcoe St, south side of downtown, unless of course your looking for a location to do a documentary on drug addiction, homelessness, lack of social services and mental health care in Ontario Canada, you might want to skip this particular attraction.
A small Park in downtown Oshawa. Located next to the car Museum. On the monument lists the names of the residents of Oshawa died in the first and second world wars and in the Korean war. Visible concern for the memory of fallen soldiers.
I'm glad I had a chance to visit Memorial Park and see the World War I Memorial. It's a large and impressive structure. I particularly liked the inclusion of pieces of stone from the different nations involved in the war being included. However I was surprised to see several impressive murals in and around the park as well. They depict the World Wars as well as people from Oshawa. Very nice to see so much artwork around for people to enjoy. There is also a bandshell for outdoor events during the summer and the excellent Canadian Automotive Museum is also just across the street.
