springwater provincial park

This park is no longer a provincial park and thus facilities are all closed. However, the trails are still open. We visited quite often with our dogs and most of the time on trails, we rarely saw a soul. It's perfect to enjoy the nature and its peacefulness. In winter time, do watch out for the rude cross country skier (very rarely but he/she does exist) who thinks the trails are for their amusement and your walking messes it all up.

Very good cross country skiing experience during the winter, and good times nature walking during the summer. Has a little bit of something for everyone. Get outdoors and go there!

"As of March 31, 2013 Springwater Park became non-operational. The public are welcome to use the park, free of charge, but must enter on foot from the front gates. If you wish to visit please park responsibly, away from Highway 26; there is room for vehicles to park along the entryway." Beautiful park with lots of trails. The forest is stunning - even in the winter. I would come back every weekend if I lived in the area! The trails were still very snowy but we took the snowshoe loop which was bit more hard-packed and easier to walk on.
