Great place to enjoy nature. Nice wide trails with beautiful scenery. Lots of wild flowers in bloom in the spring. Caves you can explore.
The escarpment is million year old shoreline from an acient seathat has amazing caves, rock formations & is home to some of the oldest trees in the world. Cedars that are bonzied on the rock faces have been dated to 300 to 500 years old.Rattlesnake will give you a tastye of all of these wonderful marvels of nature.enjoy with the whole family.
This is a great place to hike , enjoy the vista , and escape for an afternoon. I have lived near it for 20 years and each time I am amazed .
Not wheelchair friendly, and rough grounds and unprotected edges make it dangerous for young children.
Do not be confused by the name. There are no rattlesnakes here - just beautiful views over the Niagara Escarpment. You can follow the white blazes (markers) of the Bruce Trail or go on your own. Be careful though; where there are views, there are also cliffs. The hiking is fantastic but it is very rocky and may be difficult for some. Bring water and food as there are no places on the trail to get either.
Recently had one of the most delicious meals at a Wedding held at Rattlesnake Point, Absolutely Fabulous! The Manager for the event was nothing short of Rude and Controlling beyond his job description. It took all we had not to be equally rude in return.Shame on him for putting a damper on such a lovely Weddingn and unnecessary to treat their guests the way he did!
Rattlesnake Point outside Milton is a sky and cloud lover's paradise. Walk along the cliffsiide paths and marvel at the steep inclines which give you an incredibly clear view of the plains down from the escarpment. If you are more adventurous, simply meander over to the edge of the cliff and watch the climbers tempt their fates as they try to make it up the side of the escarpment overlooking the highway which looks like a little ribbon from that height. This is a very Walker friendly One vp because the views are breathtaking but the paths are very accessible and easy.Walk the forest on a windy afternoon and listen to thee trees talking in the wind. Rattlesnake Point is a very exciting way to spend an afternoon with the kids, enjoying views otherwise reserved for planes and birds.
We stumbled on this place while driving around the Halton region and it is a nice place to hike. If you dont like to walk then this is not the place for you. Nothing much to see or do but it has lovely hiking trails. Not sure why it is called Rattlesnake point though as we did not come across any. But once you get to the top, the view from there is simply awesome/breat taking.
Great for a couple of hours trekking. This place has some lovely short trails with a few hills for good exercise. I didn't see any slopes that were too daunting. Great for small kids too.
My family and I truly enjoy this beautiful natural park. The trails are clearly indicated and have different levels of difficulty.Great place to spend the day, and enjoy a nice picnic!
During a family outing, we randomly decided to stop at rattlesnake point and we weren't disappointed. There were great views and trails that were easy enough for young children and those that are not as active. The view of the autumn leaves were gorgeous. We had a nice, relaxing walk around and it was a day well spent. NOTE: there is a FEE to enter the park. It is per person, and there are discounted rates for seniors and children.
If you want to get a good view of the amazing changing of colours of foliage during Fall, visit Rattle Snake Point. The Amazing View which is through the lookout points can easily be reached with less than a 10 minute walk from the parking lot. They also have interesting wood sculptures along the path leading to the lookout points.During summer and fall they would also offer Rock Climbing lessons to visitors.
My friend recently brought me to rattlesnake point in Milton, as I didn't even realize it existed. What a wonderful way to spend a morning. We journeyed along the hiking trails, taking in the view as we went. Beautiful place to go during the summer.
The view is beautiful here! There are also a few geocaches here that are well hidden! Caching would be great for a family!
The trails are so beautiful here. For me the best time here is early fall. Climb to the top to enjoy awesome views and a sea of colors. Lots of bird life and well maintained trails.
