halton region museum

Spent about a hour touring this place with a friend from tthe USA. Althought this place is not well know within the Region of Halton, it had over 19,000 visitors last year. Free admission with the price one pays to get into this park. It is a self directed tour and has three floors of exhibits plus displays. One can learn alot on doing a self directed tour of the building plus grounds. This organization also makes use of volunteers plus also does weddings along with special events. They also have a gift shop plus store. Worth checking out if you are into local history and early poineer life within Canada in the 1800's!

I used to work for a company that organized weddings at this location. I fell in love with the atmousphere of the building and the grounds. It is gorgeous for a rustic-shiek site for weddings under 100 people. Anyone trying to fit over 100 people in there -- do not do it!They have all their own dishes and basic glassware in house. They even provide basic linens to their clients! GREAT place for a wedding, corporate event, or family party.
