Awesome people in the front office and instructors. I ordered the video of my jump but didnt' get it Some malfunction difficulties. Received an email that they were willing to refund my money I paid or I could just take the still photos instead, at the same price as the video. My friend got her video the same day. I am still waiting for the photos to be emailed to me.Very dissapointing indeed, it isn't every day one goes skydiving.More care should have been taken to ensure record button was pressed by the professional photograhpher. At least they could give me the photos at no cost, but are trading them instead of a video.
Don't miss out, this was the best experience! From start to finish everyone and everything was fantastic. This was my first time and I will definitely do it again. Thanks to Les (instructor) and Mark (videographer) I had a great time and pics to prove it. I would have jumped right back on the plane and done it again immediately if the line up wasn't a mile long :)I could write a novel here but all you really need to know is that you cannot top this, everyone is knowledgeable, professional, personable and so much fun! Don't wait, call and book today!
Amazing place, friendly service, and made sure we had an awesome time while in the air.Cost: $300 tandem, and $150 with video & photographs (another jumper comes with you to take the photos and video)When you arrive, you see a video. The guy with the beard is really funny. After you go through the waivers, which makes it kind of scary but really important to do.We were delayed for a long time because of the bad weather. There are picnic tables outside and under tents that you can use. Remember to bring a cooler with food and stuff to do to pass by the time.Once the weather cleared up, we were ready to go. They provided training on the ground and then suit you up. Your instructor who you tandem with, suits you up and all that. Provides you the chance to get to know them. The videographer will be there to also film it. We jumped three at a time (3 jumpers, 3 instructors and 2 videographers) in the big airplane. We reached an altitude of about 13000 before they opened the doors. They will strap you to them before the door opens and talk you through it a few times what will happen. Once you jump out of the door, the instructor actually flips. We freefalled through the clouds, which was so cool. The photographer was there to catch all of it. You get a chance to pull the parachute. The parachuted open and the photographer leaves and meets you on the ground to take photos/video of you landing. You get a chance to steer the parachute and the instructor may choose do some tricks in the air with you.Awesome experience. So beautiful and calm in the sky. We were in the sky around 530pm. We were told the best time is around sunset or dawn so you can see the pinks/yellows/oranges in the sky. It was so beautiful. You do not get the drop feeling that you get on rollercoasters. Instead it feels like high winds rushing at you. Then when the parachute opens, you are just floating in the air. The landing was soft and easy. If you get motion sickness easily, you may want to take a gravel or something. The photo/video are provided through a link and you get it within 24-28 hours. They also edit the video to music (you can choose the music you want too).Amazing and highly recommend.
Whenever you think of a bucket list, skydiving is probably the first activity that comes to mind. There is good reason for this, because jumping off a moving plane at 11,000 feet is definitely not something you do every day. It is not even something the vast majority of people would even consider doing. I am one of the lucky few who got to have this amazing experience and I am glad I had it at Skydive Toronto. Although it is quite a drive from Toronto and not the easiest place to find, even with Google Maps, once you're there you are treated in a very friendly and honest way. You watch a few videos (the guy in the videos has an EPIC beard - that alone is an experience) that make it pretty clear that skydiving is no child's play. It is a high risk activity, and no one there tries to tell you otherwise. If this doesn't make you change your mind, your are briefed on what you need to know and to do once you're in the air and you just wait for your turn. I was with a group of friends, and because we also had the complete photo-video package (which meant a photographer jumped with us as well), each of us got our own small plane. Take off and cruising to 11,000 feet takes a good 20 minutes, in which you get to enjoy great views of Lake Ontario and even glimpses of Toronto in the distance (you get to see the CN Tower). Then the moment comes, you are strapped to your instructor, the hatch door opens, the photographer gets out and films you while hanging from the wing of the plane and all is quite insane. You get to the door, there is a push and in a fraction of a second you realize you are falling to the ground at high speed. Adrenaline rushes your body like never before, all your existence disappears and everything that you realize is that you are flying. You don't see the instructor, who is in your back, there is no scary sensation of falling because of the high altitude, just a feeling of flight at high speed. In a matter of seconds, you get to more than 120 mph. After a minute or so the parachute opens and you glide to the landing site like a bird. The rest is history.
Four of us attended Skydive Toronto and had a blast!!We arrived and everyone was nervous and excited. We got our paperwork and began filling it out. Watched a couple videos and then it was time to wait for our turn. They had fog in the morning which delayed them initial so we had a while to wait. They have a snack bar there so we hung out on a picnic table and watched other jumpers come in while we waited. Hey, you can't control the weather right?Just before it was our turn to get suited up they take you in and have you practice on a mock plane. Good idea cause you tend to forget things when you're nervous. Then we were suited up and introduced to our instructors. We were all doing a tandem jump. Only one of us had been skydiving before so none of us really knew what to expect. My tandem instructor was Chris Laflammer. This guy was a lot of fun and the type of person who obviously loves what he does. He was the perfect person to jump with for my first jump. It was then off to the plane. They are tiny. There is a reason to jump out when you get to 10,000 feet. LOL!There is nothing like leaving that plane of hanging under a canopy. If you're thinking about doing it, go for it!!What an awesome experience!! These guys were great, true professionals. I highly recommend going with this company.
My wife and I just celebrated our 40th anniversary and I asked her if wanted to go skydiving to celebrate, something we had talked about for years. We had a GREAT time doing a tandem jump. The people there are first class. We were treated very well and we had no fears or doubts at any time. Fortunate for us the weather was ideal and being a Monday, they weren't crazy busy as it apparently gets on the week-ends.Just a quick note to say thanks to everyone there and to highly recommend Toronto Skydive to anyone looking for a first class, super experience.
