cobourg east pierhead lighthouse

I trekked out with my best friend in late January, on one of the coldest days of the year! Through snow and ice it was worth it. Although you cannot enter the lighthouse, carefully walking around it to the far side is breathtaking. The lake water that had been blowing against the tower had frozen it and the pier edge into a fantasy landscape. Absolutely beautiful.

Cobourg harbour is a nice place to visit - a walk or drive out on the pier toward the light house is a rare opportunity to get into the lake without getting wet.
