We had dinner here at least 3 times, food was very good and cheap, fantastic cocktails and generous amounts of alcohol. Live music p,ayes in 3 occasions great atmosphere and met some lovely people .

Alfreds was located next to my resort, The Grand Pineapple, and was a nice alternative for night life. Decent prices and an interesting crowd...

Good music and bands here at the club, and also free wifi sit and have a drink and get on wifi. Very handy next to Grand Pineapple Negril

Fun atmosphere during the day with lively music, great food and amazing drinks - try the papaya daiquiri! You can swim in the ocean or play beach volleyball while they cook and then walk down the seven mile beach for many more bars and local hang outs. At night its more of a club so if you don't like crowds and clubbing, it is a day-only place for you

Went on a Friday night on a recommendation from our hotel chef, Teddy. We showed up early for drinks. Prices were reasonable. Sat and talked with Frank Aird before the band started playing. We were blown away with the performance. Frank is truly a great musician and very nice gentleman. Show started a lil after 9 but crowd didn't show until about 10:30. Very chill joint.

Alfred's is the best place to sit by the bar and relax by the beach for the day! Every time I go to Negril, I make sure I stop by Alfred's to get a drink from the best bartender around (Rudy)! If you need a place to unwind and chill for the day Alfred's is the place!

Great to hangout at nights and dance or just listen to the live music. Bartenders are great. If they don't know how to make a drink you can give them the ingredients or instructions and they will whip it up.

Take off your shoes and dance in the sand, to some great reggae music, not as much peoplehustling as other music spots on the beach. Get a great cocktail from Rudy, one of the best.Just watch out for the rum punch, knocked me on my but, literally !!!:)

We had a great time at the bar! The vibe is really relaxed and informal. If you like to dance on the beach with a cocktail and listen to reggae then this is the place. A big thnx to Akeem for the great cocktails

Alfred's had a very nice and relaxing atmosphere. The food was good and reasonably priced. The drinks were GREAT! We thoroughly enjoyed the reggae band that played on Sunday night.

Alfred's is a wonderful spot to relax, have a few drinks and watch the sunset. A live band plays 3 nights a week. The bartenders (Rudy, Chris and Akeem) are the best on the beach! The food at Alfred's is always fresh and reasonably priced. This is a spot that one should not miss and in fact, should head to on a daily basis- breakfast, lunch and dinner is served!

Very nice relaxing place with seating under the canopy at the bar or tables as well as picnic tables on the beach and some loungers where you can sit as long as you are buying. Restrooms behind the building had showers which was nice to rinse off under after the beach. More importantly, the hustlers seem to know better than to approach customers here so you can actually relax. One night, the very sweet and elderly cake lady did approach us as did a man selling cigarettes which I actually needed. Other than than, we have never been bothered there.Jerk chicken strips were very good as were the fries. The burger, which I asked for well-done, was of the small frozen variety and definitely very well done. Oh well, this is Jamaica and burgers aren't standard fare. The coco bread is very good.Definitely not touristy but safe and relaxing. Someday we will figure out how to get out to their diving platform :-)

I stayed at Alfred's during my first trio to Jamaica and I am writing this reveiw now because that place is calling me. LOL! The rooms are affordable at about $60/night and it is right on the hottest 7 mile beach. You can relax on the beach eat at the restaurant ( great food) or do some excursions which are all accessible a few steps from your room. The staff is great, especially the bartender Rudy, and the owners are nice and live right on the grounds. If you are looking for that resort feel this is not the place, but if you want to go to Negril and be comfortable and feel that real JA life then Alfreds is the place to be. Let's not forget the live music a few days a week. I recommend Alfred's to all of my friends.

This bar is in typical Jamaican style and colours, very laid back with friendly staff. It is a family owned business. Guests are warmly greeted and well looked after. There are live gigs at least twice a week,, worth a try. Go there, put your feet up and relax to the sound of the waves with a nice cocktail in hand. Total bliss...

This place was really great. My group of friends and I stayed next door at the grand pineapple and ended most of our nights at Alfreds. A few nights the had live bands and we were able to drink eat and dance until about 2 am. Rudy the bartender is the absolute best. He was very friendly and makes a good dark and stormy. Just a word to the wise, their rum punch is STRONG!
