This is a great beach for a swim and nap after sweating through a round of golf. Chair options are sun, umbrella or under a large tree. Good food and drink options right to your seat.
I was surprised of finding "Minitas" as a Place to be reviewed ; this place really is a Beach called Playa Minitas at World well known Casa de Campo Resort in Dominican Republic. Playa Minitas is a very nice SCENIC BEACH...probably is not a "great sandy beach" but the service, ambiance, beatiful views, nice restaurant and all facilities are second to none in DR. That would be something, having in mind all great beaches all over PARADISIAC DOMINICAN REPUBLIC ISLAND...As a note ; you need to know that food and beverages are too pricy !
On the beach, with beautiful views of the sea from most tables, food and service were very good. It was a fifteen minute ride from the hotel, but worth the visit.
suntanning, relaxation, good cuisine at its restaurant, good massages all found accessible at Minitas beach. great for a long walk and a short swim.
I like that they have wait staff and towels on the beach. The drinks are pricey considering they are $12.00 before a 18% sales tax and a 10% gratuity. Other than that no complaints. Beach was beautiful and clean. Water was nice.
good service, calm clean water, chairs, umbrellas, trees, drinks available. It's on the small side though--not great for long walks.
Being the only beach in Casa de Campo Resort, reachable without a boat, I guess it works fine, not so big, this man made beach has all the services available at any 5 stars hotel, chairs, towels, service, two bars, one restaurant, a small spa, stores, water sports activities (motorized and not). Overall is a nice, quiet beach, with almost no waves, which is great specially for little kids.
Playa Minitas is the only public beach at Casa de campo. If you go when it isn't crowded, it's fine, but it is always crowded around Christmas/New Years. There aren't enough umbrellas and chairs. Go early to get your spot.
While visiting we found the beach clean and well appointed with beach chairs and longers. The sand was clean and well manicured. Small bars serve drinks and while wedidnot try the restaurant it looked accomodating. We snorkled an hour or so and saw a small ray an Octopus and several small fish. There was a beautiful view as the sun went down over the ocean. Thanks!
Lots of chairs and lounges- food service and wash rooms- the beach seems to have been man made - there is nice snorkling and rentals
Minitas is a man made beach in the Casa de Campo resort, with a large expanse of sand and clear water. It is easily accessable from the hotel and villas. It is the only beach that is close by
Although this private beach is small, you don't have to deal with rowdy locals, dirty bathrooms, finding parking, etc. The water is crystal clear (you can see ur toes twinkling below), although the sand isn't as soft as La Bayahiba. The local bar near by is very expensive, so remember to bring some bottled water. Snorkeling was also expensive at $14/rental.
If you want a peaceful beach with warm, calm tropical waters, with good security and no hassles, this is the place. It does not have the beauty of Punta Cana or Bayahibe .... but its peaceful and clean. We like to there allot.
We enjoyed the more private Beach Cabanas. At about $100 I thought it was a good value. You get an attendant to meet your needs and the food at the lunch restaurant was spectacular! Much better that any "Marina" Restaurant.
Went to Las Minitas Beach with family and we all loved it. The water is calm since rocks block the waves. The sand is beautiful, very white and they have the typical water activities.
