It was a nice and refreshing experience. I liked it to much and it rejuvenate your feelings for natures beauty.
Chandigarh Botanical Garden & Nature Park is situated on the far South-east end of the City Beautiful in the village Sarangpur (near Dhanas village), adjoining Patiali-Ki-Rao Reserve Forest,,, it is not there in the sector grid of city,,,, It is the Newest Botanical Garden of Chandigarh city and is still in development stage.....When fully developed it would be spread over an area of around 175 acres... It has several section like Medicinal Plants, Medicinal shrubs, Bamboo section, Arboretum section, Ornamental and Flowering Tree Section, Palm and Pine tree section, Cactus and Succulent Section, Aquatic Plants Section, fruit tree section etc.... The best part of this Garden and Park is that every part of this Garden is accessible through a 6 kilometer long cemented pavement and 5 kilometer long cycle track,,,, it also has 4 - 5 water bodies / lakes of various sizes,,,, it is best for researchers, school / college kids on an educational tour,,,, and lone walkers,,,
Good place to spend some time. Better to visit during evening hours. Looks deserted during mid day. It's spread over a wast geography, but not developed like a rich natural peace.
I just love this place for its calmness and this one also reminds my student days.Wide variety of plants is a treat to watch and they are fairly well maintained.
Huge garden with some beautiful spots but large vacant spaces with no vegetation. A botanical garden brings an image of abundant greenery but huge grounds with just grass is not an idea of botanical garden. Nice place but can be better maintained . Cafeteria not working
It is a good place for taking a stroll in spare time and when weather is good. The picture displayed is of Sukhna lake. Good place to be enjoyed with friends, family and loved one.
A somewhat interesting place to spend some time there, if you have some spare time. Some things to see and admire.
Trip advisor team may please note:1. There is no such thing as Botanical garden and Rose garden separately. Both are one and the same.( I have also given my review under the title Rose garden)2. The picture shown under the title Botanical garden is actually picture of Sukhna lake. Pl. Change the photo to what I have attached. This is beautiful garden with a sprawling area of large no. of trees and various plants. It has water in a large pond where birds can be seen. In between it has Rose plants of many colours and varieties lining the lawns. But it all depends on as to when you visit the garden and in what season. I happened to visit this garden on a hot afternoon( 13-00 hrs) in June and I could not walk leisurely as Otherwise I would have done. I had to rush through the garden to escape the heat. Besides there were not many rose flowers and whatever was there, was not healthy looking may be because of the season or it was not being maintained properly.
This is also a good place to visit in Chandigarh...Enjoy your evening there in Nature park..............
With a large variety of Plants and trees it is one of best gardens in the country. People who love nature must see his place.
Botanical Garden is a place i use to go every week with friends in college days for relaxing and enjoying nature. Few of my best best memories are with this garden.

CHANDIGARH ..
Went to Chandigarh for a trip that covered nearby tourists destinations as well. Had the evening to kill when our family decided to hit the road. That's how we ended at the gardens. Its actually a wonderful place to spend some leisure time in the evening along with a cup of coffee and a hand to hold. Loved the lake and the boating facilities. The car park facilities are well manned. On the downside it was pretty crowded for a weekday evening. The place could have been maintained more cleanly. Of course I am from India and I know how things work but it could be kept in a better position. Could have it more accessible for tourists. Can't imagine the plight of foreign tourist who would end up here. If taken care of, it has the potential to be a great place.
Para quem curte lugares verdes e calmos, este é o lugar! Um parque muito bem preservado, ótima limpeza. Apenas tem alguns problemas como possuir poucos banheiros públicas e locais para alimentação.
