Tara Devi Temple is a beutiful temple on the top of the hill, This place is not famous for only temple but this place is also very very beautiful, this is a four sided open veiw place, you can watch whole Shimla city from the top, really our clients likes this place they enjoyed and praised for visiting there, The way to temple is also very exciting.Regards,Guru Nanak Holiday Travels Shimla.
There is quite a steep climb from the car park to this temple though some people actually get there by using an even steeper path from Shimla. There are monkeys galore and you can rent a stick to keep them at bay and help you with your climb for 10 rupees!
the views were beautiful. We visited the temple on "Holi" so had the entire complex to ourselves however I believe it is extremely crowded with lines of devotees extending to a km or so during navratri days
temples are good for everybody. At least one gets reason of life here. I liked this place. The more impressive factor to me is that people from all walks visit here. that is awesome.
Visited this place with friends a year back. Lovely place with scenic background. This temple has routes for both vehicles and trekking..! Trekking here is a must go for..!
I am feeling so blessed by visiting this temple.,it is right in lap of himaylan range, I would like to visit there ever time
Finding this place can be a little tricky as no such sign board. But locals can help. Its a very steap climb, all the effort is worth it. Its a place where you can just stad for mins and just absorb the beauty around.
Is situated at decent height from Shoghi, i guess at 7500-8000ft. It has a very nice steep drive upto temple. If you are self driven then you may enjoy this ride up. Temple is nice and clean. You aren't allowed to click pics inside premises.
Firstly the main picture on this page is not of Tara Devi temple. Looks like some other Buddhist temple in HP. The temple is a located on a hill top. the views from the temple are mesmerizing. I must warn you that from where you park the car, There is along steep walk and about 200 hundred stairs. So if you have disabled and young children with you, please be careful. The place is generally very pleasant and windy. Keep woolens handy. There is a newly constructed Shiv temple a little behind the main temple. Do visit that when you are there. It is a must visit atleast once in your lifetime. The energy of the temple is rejuvenating.
this place is just as peaceful as himalayas. the temple is very ancient and has history attached to its construction a must visit place.

Maa Tara Devi Blessings matters lot to me. I was always blessed by her. From SHoghi one can take taxi to taradevi temple.
There are two famous Tara Devi temples viz one near Nangal Dam and another near by Jwalaji temple around 30 Km from Kangra. My revew is about the Tara Devi temple near Jwalaji temple. It is situated on back side hill of Jwalaji temple. The present structure does an ancient one. However it is very beatiful or to say looks very charming admids the greenary sarroundings. It use to attect me a lot but being an aged person and corns in feet, I use to forcily avoid me to go at such hight. But time I went. Atmosphere is very calm and divotional. Here a board indicating to Bhairon Mandir again force me to go there, which was about 1 Km on the high hill. I was bare feet and the road was very narrow covered with stones. In the way I give up and told Bhairon if you wants that I should have your darson, than at least show a signe of your mandir so that I could aim it. Pl. beleave me, all of sudden I saw a corner of Bairon mandir and it was very near from there. I reached there with my loud laugh at which some person (worshiping very silently raised their eye brows. How ever I was so much happy that I taken a llot of pictures and prepared videos, Te pujaari was helpless (as he by his heart would also not want to stop me. On returning, near the Tara Devi temple, I feel pain in my foot. I was urprised, oh while I went and come down about 2 Kms on stones, no stones pained me. I shouted Bhairon ki jai, with my full voice.drps
