Portugese architecture typical. Reminds of churches in Goa. Great ambiance. The engineering of the structure is another thing to check.
This is a 400 years old structure and definitely worth a visit. Ouch it's quite small in size but the wood work inside is classy and the entire place gives quite a soothing feeling and makes you sit inside in prayer for some time
You stand inside the church, look at the beatiful ceiling, the alter, the pews and you can almost feel the art and culture of the place as they were a few hundred years ago. It's breathtakingly beautiful. Must see.
You can visit and or pray here. The interior is kept the way it was decades back. Donate to charity. No photos please.
Artistically designed picturesque church which is a testament to the colonial heritage of Diu. Along with Diu fort this is a must visit place.
This is one of the oldest churches in India. It has a magnificent architecture. Visiting the church is like taking a trip to the past. You feel very peaceful.
This is a monument of ancient heritage. The architecture of the church has a lot of rennaisant influence. The woodwork has religious motiffs of Hinduism, Christanity and Islamism giving a symbol of Universalism. The architecture is such its sure to take your breath away taking you back to the time when the Portuguese were in Diu. Adding to its beauty is the seaside location. A place you must visit.
Fascinated by its exteriors, a well maintained Church of Portugese times. Interesting when told that Church is closed for about a hour as the caretaker (apparently a muslim) has gone for his daily Noon Namaj..
We enjoyed visiting the church...a place of reflection, lighting a candle is very therapeutic.... Lovely interior with lots to see. Benches to sit on and pray...
The church is v.beautiful. specially the architectural work and the wooden stand was beautifully carved. Being church the feeling of peace is there but feels it can b maintained properly
The government should declare it a Heritage structure and "maintain" its historic relevance! Apathy and negligence will let one more monument to seed!
This is definitely among one of the most beautiful churches in India that I have visited. A magnificent white edifice with intricate architecture work is totally intriguing. The Pièce de résistance of the church is its ‘Altar’. There are some signs of its age in the interiors of Church. However, all that will be lost once the grandeur of the place sweeps you off your feet. Please note photography is not allowed inside the Church.
White and pure. Its worth a visit to spend time soaking in the architecture and the grandeur of the Church.
after visting churches worldwide, this one is decent. but by Diu standards I guess nice. clean and peaceful
To be specific some kind of guidance would enhance the visit. A general lay out of the vicinity and places of interest around specially marked out on official maps would assist long distance road travelers who wonder if one can leave the main roads safely.
