My experience at Rancho Los Alpes was amazing!! I work in the hotel industry and I was impressed at the level of service provided. I was a part of a college group so it was me and 17 other college students. We all had a wonderful time! Alma and Axel (brother and sister who own the ranch) were very hospitable and accommodating. The food was amazing and there were always activities for us to do. We enjoyed the horseback riding, which was very reasonably priced.There are plenty of awesome places to relax-we fell in love with the hammocks! and the view is beautiful. You can see mountains in the distance and there is plenty of trees and flowers at the Ranch which makes a very relaxing and private ambiance. The ranch was very clean and the sheets were changed while we were there (not daily though as we had an extended stay and they are eco-friendly). There was always access to purified water. Everything was safe to eat and drink. The ranch has full US bathrooms (not typical in Nicaragua) and showers. The water was cold, but felt refreshing after the warm Nicaraguan climate. This was by far the best conditions we stayed in while in Nicaragua.The ranch was only about 10-15 minutes from the city of Leon. Close enough to regularly visit the city but far enough to be secluded and relax. The city of Leon was fun to explore. You can definitely see the European influence to the city but yet it still has a Central American feel. I would highly recommend visiting the city of Leon and staying at Rancho Los Alpes. You will not regret your choice!!

Several went in January of 2013. The staff made us feel just like we were at home on a real ranch. We had so much fun horseback riding and doing the zip line over the lagoon. It was so much fun. Also, the food was delicious and every day we did something different. If you like to have fun and be safe, this is the place to go.

I just returned from a weekend escape at the rancho Los Alpes near Leon, and must say-still entoxicated by the magic of this experience. I am rating this very high because of three reasons- amazingly friendly, warm and professional staff and management, great setting in the nature, and beautiful rancho house atmosphere with a touch of nostalgia. Regarding food, we only had Breakfast and its worth a total thumbs up as part of the total staff and service experience. Although we had less time than I wish to explore fully the surroundings, I couldn't help but fall in love with the richness and variety of landscape. That can Be explored on a hourse back or on foot. Now it's the driest season in Nicaragua when most of the Pacific coast gets subtropical in arid colors. Not something I would usually fall for- but not in this place. Thank you Los Alpes, It was beautiful.

Ecolodge Rancho Los Alpes is a place near to Leon City (Leon Santiago de los Caballeros, Nicaragua - one of the first cities in Latinamerica) and the wonderful surf beaches of Pacific coast of Nicaragua, Poneloya Beach.Rancho Los Alpes is a perfect place to enjoy with friends and family, good food and outstanding personal attention by their staff. Alma Urcuyo Quintana and Axel Urcuyo Quintana with their staff make the time you spend over there unforgotable, relaxing and memorable as you want.What I really enjoyed was the country environment, nice company, sound of nature, country and nicaraguan folklore music and over all..., the experience.You have to carry your camera, relaxing and country wear and you can spend all day long or sleep over there, they have enough room, but you have to share room, that´s why it is better to go with friends, couple, family and occupy with your people 1 or 2 rooms.All food is fresh and prepare right the way you ask for, that´s why I recommend you to ask first or early for lunch and have to wait around 20 to 30 minutes.Rancho Los Alpes has Canopy, horse back riding and a lot of chilling out, dance if you want and talk.Simply, you have to go and get the nice and wonderful experience there.

Where do I begin? Rancho Los Alpes is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. After traveling through Europe, Fiji and the U.S., Rancho Los Alpes is among my favorite places to visit. The staff is incredible, sweet and always attentive to every possible need. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food is fresh, local and delicious. I have stayed here twice and can't wait to go back. The owner, Alma, is always available and wants to ensure that everyone is having a great time and is well taken care of. So much to do as well from horseback riding, to ziplines. I can't recommend Rancho Los Alpes enough.

Rancho Alpes is an ideal destination for rural tourism, ecotourism and recreational facilities are well equipped and has a staff trained by Alma, who is the managing owner, a young woman of great experience in the tourism industry, to reach the ranch will have a personalized and quality services.

Certainly if you are really looking for a comfortable place to stay, feeling at home and nearby the country side and the exuberant beaches of the Pacific Ocean you then stay at Rancho Los Alpes. Excellent attention, delicious food and warming a friendly attention.

I would suggest anyone wanting to experience the real Nicaragua to go and visit Los Alpes. The scenery is breathtaking and the lodging excellent. This is a real eco lodge/ranch. There you will find the people very friendly and helpful. The food served is typical Nicaraguan food and is delicious. Riding the horses around the ranch is a very fun experience. Also the zip line/canopy is so much fun! I have been several times with friends and family and want to keep going back. If you like fun and adventure you will make this place a must when you visit Nicarauga.

The person whoever wrote that Los Alpes is filled with dirt and drunks in not telling the truth and in reality must have never stayed at Los Alpes. Los Alpes is so much fun with horse back riding, great food, zip lining over the lagoon and so much more. Alma, is the owner and not staff! I have stayed several times at Los Alpes and always have had a great time. If someone really wants to experience real life Nicaragua, they should go to Los Alpes. They will find the owner very elegant and professional. You will be able to see all the surrounding country and see the life of the locals. The beach is close by with some excellent views and food. I highly suggest a visit to Los Alpes.

We have never placed any client who booked a double room into a dorm room, nor do we have any drunk crowds as clients "puking all over the place". Alma is not one of the cleaning staff, but she is the owner and manager of the Ecolodge. She always puts a lot of effort into relating with the guests and most of them explicitly point out how friendly she is, just as the other staff, which are all from the local community and have been trained by Alma. Rancho Los Alpes on Facebook has almost 1400 friends.This review is just an insult which is not based on the travel experience of any of our clients.We have contacted TripAdvisor requesting them to remove this fake review.

El lugar es muy limpio y lindo y sobre todo muy acogedor, ami me encanta lo recomiendo a ojos cerrado.

El rancho ofrece varias opciones al turista, desde caminatas y montar caballos en sus areas, hasta camping (ellos tienen el equipo), tienen contactos con muchos comunitarias para coordinar visitas a grupo que quieren aprender como hacer tortillas, ordenar vacas, visitar escuelas, visitas al basurero de Leon, con fines sociales y aprendizaje.El personal es muy profesional y preocupados por la satisfacción del cliente, tienen un canopy/zip line sobre una pequeña laguna.Si quieres olvidar el ruido de la ciudad, este rancho es una buena opción, puedes leer tranquilamente en una hamaca o en una mecedora en uno de sus porches o bajo un árbolReserven con tiempo, ya que solo pueden alojar entre 20-30 personas en camas, entre habitaciones privadas con AA, hasta habitaciones para unas 8 personas.Te organizan eventos y mas, solo les avisan con tiempo sus planes.

Llegue con mis amigos de la universidad a este sitio, escuchamos mucho de sus Canoppy, y bueno por ello fuimos, pero llegar alli nos dimos cuentas que tiene mas opciones, la caminata a un pequeño bosque seco, montada a caballo, cocinar tortillas y ordeñar vaca, ademas es un excelente lugar para pasar la noche con tus amigos, podes hacer una fogata, Karaoke, etc. El cannopy se lo recomiendo muy bueno pero le recomiendo mas si llegan en invierno es aqui donde la laguna esta llena.

Rancho Los Alpes es a mi opinion el mejor sitio en la ciudad en donde se puede disfrutar diferentes servicios turisticos. El staff es muy calificadoY profesional, La laguna y el canopy es una sensacion original para toda la familia. si buscan descanso, aventuras visitenlos.
