We arrived early (~10 AM) and we did wait an hour to get started, but we were the first in line which was great because we had an upfront view. We loved seeing the baby elephants and hearing how orphaned elephants really are endangered as they rely on their mother's milk for their first 3 years of life to survive. Highly recommend for all ages.

This was my second time visiting and love it each time. They folks who run the show get customers in quickly and efficiently. Worth the visit!

You were able to get very close to the orphans. I actually petted one and was surprised at how rough the skin was. They spent a long time explaining how the orphanage works and having the babies out while we watch them being fed. Was a nice few hours

This Place is a must when visiting Nairobi! You get to see the elephants real close by, and see how well taken care of they are.I saw my adopted elephant and she was alive and kicking, mischevious for sure ;)I deffinately reckommend!

Great cause - bringing in abandoned elephants, raising them (with minimal public contact) and then releasing them back into Tsavo National Park. Great knowledge is shared with the audience and a few of the younger elephants come up close and you get to pet.

I would have given this five stars had my visit not ended on a sour note. We got there early and this is highly recommended as the hour starts with the most gorgeous stampede of baby elephants. They are fed and introduced and more information is given. They were also accompanied by two young orphaned ostriches which the elephants loved to chase. The little babies then leave and some older ones come in. (A woman had arrived late and was having a tantrum and demanding her money back because she had not seen the smallest babies). I was so captivated I decided to foster three babies, one for myself and one for each of my children. I spent ages choosing the ones I wanted, completed three forms and went to pay, only to be told I couldn't pay by credit card. This was my last day in Kenya and I had no cash left, so when they realised I could pay no other way I was told I could use a credit card but would have to pay US$200 instead of $150 PLUS a 5% credit card fee. I have given this feedback to the UK office, and have now sponsored one baby for US$50 and no extra charges (online from home). The attitude of the staff was so unhelpful and they have lost sponsorship for two babies because of this.

If you are looking for a good outdoor adventure, this is the last of the places you want to go. Unless you REALLY REALLY REALLY LOVE ELEPHANTS, and wish to ADOPT one, I will never recommend this place. It's not worth the entry fees, as there is nothing to do but to just stand still in the middle of nowhere, staring at a guy giving lectures on the life history of different elephants. Seriously, you shouldn't go there, if you are a average person.

We loved seeing the young orphaned elephants. . . this is a special place where you can touch them and watch them bathe happily in the mud! This was a very informative learning experience!

A visit to the Elephant Orphanage is a must for any animal lover. The dedication that goes into saving these beautiful animals is heart warming. You can get close to see and watch them having their milk and adopt one if you wish. Mine is called Arruba!

Well run sanctuary with adorable orphans being fed, bathed and protected until they can be let back into the wild. Unfortunately, most of these orphans are the result of their mother's being poached in the parks. I thoroughly enjoyed watching these babies for over 30 minutes and came away adopting an elephant.
