can only recommend it :) nice to seenot the highlight of your trip , but you need to see it.the springs are big, and look out for the signs, crocodiles are everywhere , so watch out :)
Good place to visit. Lovely fish sighting. It was hot, since its the summer season, however, the tank is wonderful
This is were you go to see hippos, crocs, and some other fun things. If your guide does;t take you he isn't doing his job. Make sure to type your foot path guide, they don't get paid very well but they work hard and are very knowledgable.
Very refreshing beauty. Ranger available to take you round. Thousands of litres of water gashing out from ground to form river. aquatic life fish, hippos can be seen.
i loved the small viewing chamber from where you can see fish and maybe see a hippo or crocodile under water. and i also loved the view
A really beautiful place. Like a miracle, a river flows out the ground in a dry place. You can see fishes, hippos, apes and sometimes crocodiles (we haven't, but they claimed that there are some sometimes).
Crazy experience. We went with a ranger with a huge gun to the springs. He told us several stories about the trees, which were a used as medicines and stuff. Spotted some dino bones. Suddenly, we saw the beautifull water with the large amount of greenery around it. Absolutely fantastic. We went closer and we saw hippo's. The ranger told us to check the "tree" on the other side of the water. It was a croc! Suddenly we saw more of these, very nice. We also went to the water tank to see some fishes. Unfortunately, we couldnt spot the hippo from this point of view. Still an amazing experience! Must visit if you are in Tsavo.
After being cooped up in a safari jeep most of the time, it was great to be able to walk around and see nature at your own pace. A great quite stop to see some small wildlife, plus a chance to observe fish close up.
The location is nice for a picnic and for viewing hippos and crocodiles, but the underwater viewing tank leaves much to be desired. I could only see fish even though the water is remarkably clear.
We were the only van in the car park when we turned up! We took a long slow walk round the springs with a young female park ranger who was very knowlegable about the area and obviously loved her job- slow because we are in our 70s! ( I wish I could remember her name;) We saw the hippos, crocodiles and fish as well as the grafitti that some ill mannered tourists had carved into trees - why do they do it. All in all a nice quiet place to visit with no rush and a lot to see. I was glad to see that as we left there were 3 vans turning up. Will we go again? Of course we will.
Amazing park, very remote and private with vast untouched virgin land and wildlife. Truly a gem on this earth!
This was a wonderful walk to experience some of the outdoors, unfortunately we didn't get to see much, we had heavy rain whilst we were there so we didn't really get to see the crocs or hippos which was a little disappointing but going into the underwater look out was fab fun, again a shame we only saw fish but a lovely experience regardless
A river flowing from underground! This was amazing. The crocs, the fish and the hippos! All suddenly deriving their lives from the spring, a few meters from its source! The under water tank provides a great underground view of the aquatic life! Simply great!
Informative and relaxed walking tour of the springs - we spotted hippos and crocs! Also an underwater viewpoint for checking out the local underwater life.
A lovely walk under the shade of trees around the clear water springs is always a must do when we are in the park. Regular hippo sightings and occasional crocodiles.
